1  First project on Circ.'s in Knitting: Completed Projects by 007lucious_lips on: December 31, 2006 02:55:43 PM
OK I know there have been alot of hat posts, but I just couldn't wait  Grin This hat I started last night an hour before I fell asleep, then this morning I worked on it for a few hours while watching the Ugly Betty marathon XD Here's the info
Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Shocked Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Shocked Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
The yarn - is pictures below, I don't know exactaly what it is because I accquired it from my buddy Necia along with tons more which I am so greatful for! I used about 1 1/4 skeins, double stranded. The yarn is really interesting itself though, it is a single ply of 48%wool and 30%wool covered by a netting of black nylon.

Needles - 10 1/2 circulars, I didn't have any DPN's in that size so it was a little tricky

Pattern - http://knitosaurus.com/watermelon-jolly-rancher-earflap-hat/

Thanks for looking Cheesy
P.s.- If it wasn't for everybody's amazing help, I wouldn't be knitting anything besides scarves today :]

6  Setting the twist?back spinning? Help! in Spinning: Discussion and Questions by 007lucious_lips on: August 21, 2006 01:38:30 PM
Hi I'm Brandon,
I just bought my first drop spindle and it's a top whorl and some fiber that is called "Beast" which I purchased from Limerick Fibers, a great place in Gordonsville, in Virignia. I was just thinking last night when I started to spin for the first time...I took what I spun off of the drop spindle it started to back spin and then someone told me that I had to set the twist...here are my questions:

How do you set the twist?
I know the backspinning is because of OVER SPINNING the fibers and it will improve with practice but any tips on improving this problem?

Thanks so much and I know that you get these questions all the time but if you could help I would really apreciate it! Cheesy Thanks so much! And I just want to say that Spinning wheather its good or bad looking....ROCKS! lol

Thankies- Brandonlicious<3's all of your cool yarns and spinning skills!

P.S.- Below is a pic of the spindle and fiber as well as my first single...(i think thats what its called) yarn Cheesy

sorry bout the bad quality but *shrugs* thanks again
