Soo cute!!!
and NO, NOT stupid to use clear nail polish to keep the edges from fraying, that's actually brilliant!! especially for a little small cross stitch! I've seen people bind the edges of larger cross stitches with ribbon or bias tape, which is cute but can be a little wonky.
Your Nanna is going to love it...happy b-day and congratulations to her!

Sorry, I just had to...I've been reading a lot of Cracked.com and Micheal Bay is a favorite subject of theirs...
I am glad you and your family are ok. I had the same thing happen to me (though it was my own stupidity, cold liquid in a hot dish..blammo!) hopefully anchor-hocking will do something.

I love it!!! I wish I had done this!! I was looking for a small hutch because we have a teeny-tiny dining room/kitchen in our apartment but I couldn't find anything that didn't suck.
I love the color and I love the knobs, they work perfectly with it.

my husband and I just finished dinner and he asked me "do we have anything sweet?"
I say "no, but somebody put up a post about a dutch pancake, it looks delicious."
"what's a dutch pancake?"
"something that looks delicious that I have the ingredients for and I can make in 20 minutes."

pause from husband......."how much do you love me?"

me "enough to make you a dutch pancake."

I substituted vanilla for the lemon extract and served it with strawberry jam that I warmed up....
