33  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Pillow Cover w/link to tute on an "Almost" pinless invisible zipper installation on: April 30, 2011 04:23:58 AM
I loathe pinning...I always screw it up somehow and have all my pins in the wrong direction when I begin sewing.
I have a pillow cover to sew and I bought an invisible zipper for it. I've been dreading it because all the tutorials/videos I've seen make this an upside-down, complicated mess (or my favorite..they take a picture of the
fabric/zipper/pillow form in artistic layout, rattle off complicated instructions and THEN show the completed project without any other photos in-between..grrr)
Your instructions (and awesome use of heat and bond tape) are clear and detailed, so I think I can do this!
Thank you, I've totally bookmarked your page!!!

35  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / Re: not so much a botch... on: April 26, 2011 02:09:13 PM
If it makes you feel any better I got a catalog from some fancy schmancy furniture store and
they were selling (I kid you not) small bundles of paperback books that they had ripped the covers off of and bundled with little bits of twine as "artful" accessories.
The crazy thing was that they were about $15. All I could think was ...REALLY?!?!
Go on and do your book purse, it will be lovely and a far better honor to the book  Smiley
36  COOKING / Dessert / Re: tiny "potica" (now with recipe) on: April 24, 2011 01:06:06 AM
Wow!!! They both look beautiful!
I love that you and your sister made individual ones and they look delicious but the picture on the bottom has the hallmark of a grandmothers well practiced hand.
When it comes to awesome baked goods "old school" is the best school!!!
Don't worry, you are well on your way!!!

If you haven't heard it....DON'T!!! YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO UN-HEAR IT!!!
But I love your embroidery, great job.
Now....just have to decide....front seat or back seat, front seat or back seat, front seat or back seat....
