1  Wooden Chevron Bangles in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by AradiaLane on: April 16, 2012 06:20:28 PM
I've been making wooden bangle bracelets on a lathe for awhile now. Lately I've been experimenting with different things to make the bracelets more dynamic and interesting. These bracelets were turned on the lathe. Then the lines were burned in with a wood burning tool. Then I hand painted and sealed them. I think they're kind of neat. Does anyone know of a good shiny sealer for wood and acrylic paint? I used a polyacrylic sealer but it makes white paint turn brownish. Thanks for looking!

2  Free Spirit Dolls Circe and Cinder in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by AradiaLane on: January 25, 2012 12:38:08 PM
It's been a long time since I've posted anything on Craftster. Like whole years... But I'm trying to get better about sharing my work so here goes. I'm posting these dolls on this board because I feel like they're more dolls than crochet. But they are crocheted using the free spirit doll pattern. I made Circe first and she currently has no clothes because I decided to make the other doll, Cinder, for my girlfriend for Christmas. Thanks for looking!

3  Re: Hippy Swap Round 2 - Hippy Happiness! in The Swap Gallery by AradiaLane on: August 04, 2008 09:28:05 PM
Here are the rest of the pictures of the things I received from Whitleeann. In addition to the baby clothes, skirt, scarf, and bracelet I also got: a great well made tote bag with beautiful machine embroidery, some incense and a holder, beads, a vintage mushroom card, an awesome hooded jacket, and some multicolored crayons and coloring books for my baby. I love everything! Thanks again Whitleeann!

Close up of bag embroidery:

Unfortunately I couldn't get a good picture of the hoodie. I assure you it's awesome:

Ok Here are a couple of pictures of the things I received from Whitleeann. But there's so much more that I haven't been able to get pictures of it yet. I got an extreme amount of awesome stuff! Thanks Whitleeann!!! This was absolutely the best swap I've ever done. I will post more pictures when I'm done cleaning up after my mini revolutionary.

Whitleean made me 2 adorable tie dyed baby t-shirts and an awesome pair of baby pants with a great owl print. Here is my son Zeppelin modeling his awesome new duds.

I also received a fantastic batik skirt that I've been wearing all day and a scarf that matches it perfectly. In the second picture you can see the cute bracelet that Whitleeann made.

There are more pictures to come!

5  First Post in 3 years! Crochet Halter Top in Crochet: Completed Projects by AradiaLane on: June 17, 2008 04:36:13 PM
So I've been lurking hardcore for 3 years... I have finally made something worthy of posting. Here is my crochet halter top. This took me a really long time because I couldn't decide how I wanted to do it and I kept unraveling things and starting over. But it's finished now and I really like it. It's surprisingly supportive which is unusual for a halter top. Here are the pictures. Please excuse my mug shot face. Self timers are very disconcerting.

Thanks for looking!
