8  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 2 ENTRIES / nautical dress/tunic on: June 24, 2005 04:19:57 PM
Hello! first of all i would like to say good luck to all the crafsters that are participating in this craft challenge! here is my first entry: a nautical sailor tunic/mini dress. It is made from an old mens shirt and some ribbon for the straps and belt thing. i got too excited and didn't get a chance to take a picture before i cut it up. Here it is:

my inspiration was from all those t-shirts that have been reconstructed into dresses, purses, etc.
9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / purse made from an old vest *pics* on: June 20, 2005 08:35:35 PM
i made this a while ago but i was too lazy to post it until now. i made this purse from the pockets of this old vest. the fabric is corduroy. Any suggestions on what i can put on it to not make it as plain?

10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Starburst BANGLE thingy [with mini tute] on: June 14, 2005 04:22:56 PM
i didn't know how to make those other starburst bracelets so I made this one:

What you do is you slice a piece off of a wrapping paper (or toilet paper) and slice another one off and cut the two pieces and tape them together. After that you just glue them on and  fold any excess edges and put packaging tape over it to protect the wrapper from getting icky. This is my first tutorial so i hope it helps!
