11  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Alice in Wonderland Bracelet on: January 17, 2011 01:53:59 PM
Well it's been a while since I posted something up here I almost forgot how! Tongue Here is a bracelet inspired by Alice in Wonderland, a story I have loved since I was a child.
The chain is black because that is one of my favourite colours and when I saw it in the store with the inner chain I couldn't pass it up. Also because I think when she falls down the rabbit hole there is a bit a blackness due to knowning, there is actually a lot of that in the story. As well with the weaving of the inner chain, I feel Alice is a story within a story.
There are 12 charms on this bracelet: Alice of course, the white rabbit, the mad hatter's hat, cards, a knight chess piece, the cheshire cat, a mushroom, a heart, a crown, a key, a queen chess piece, and a tea cup.
Thanks for looking! comments, good and bad welcome...anything to help me better my skills  Cheesy

Hello Fellow Craftsters!!  Again the Lady who makes these cakes is a shy one. You may remember the Dr. Who cake I posted in October that she made for my Dad. This one she made for me! Cheesy I am a huge Wizard Of Oz fan and this showed up at my house at 11pm Chrsitmas Eve (my Bday is Dec.25) It was so yummy and full of suprises!

the top is a ring pop! surounded with those little chocolate cake rolls Mmmmm

the city lifts off to reviel a basement of baked goodness surrounded by rice crispy goodness!

This Lady is so talented she really should stop being a nurse and just create cakes!
13  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / ahhh how do I do this??? on: November 28, 2010 06:37:34 AM
Okay craftsters here's my idea: I want to make a necklace for all my cousins, I don't really care if they wear it, it's more for memorial than anything. I want to make a pendant of a picture of my Grandfather as a necklace or even a bracelet. Problem is I don't know how to do it or even where to begin.
 Any ideas??
14  COOKING / Dessert / Dr. Who Birthday Cake on: October 13, 2010 11:10:08 AM
Hello Craftster! It's been a while since I've posted anything up here so I thought I would post this. I do not take credit for baking this, but the woman who did gave me permission to post it up online. Today is my Dad's birthday and he is a huge DW fan. So for is 56th birthday a friend of his made this cake for him. I love it, now I want one for my birthday. My son didn't want to go to school today in case we ate the cake before he got home!
As I said, I didn't make this one but Sue (the woman who did) did a fantastic job!!!

16  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Completed Projects / father's day scrapbook (image heavy) on: January 29, 2010 11:54:56 PM
I've been scrapbook for years trying to re-do old photo albums and save old pictures. When father's day rolled around I was stuck for ideas then I thought of making a scrapbook of just me and my dad, but I wanted to personalise it a bit so I used the protection covers for hockey cards. Dad loves to collect cards so I stoll a few of his protectors, made my pages, punched a hole in the corner of each and tied it with ribbon... and this is what I came up with.

and here are a few from the inside

he really liked it and he keeps it on his computer desk so he can see it everyday!
17  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / matchbox of love lost on: January 26, 2010 12:26:39 PM
I hope I posted this right.
INSPIRED!! You Ladies inspired me so much that I couldn't help but do this! My matchbox has een inspired by this crafting community and my Grandparents. Last month, right on Christmas day my Grandfather died. He was a very big part of my life, as my Gran is still. I spent a lot of my life with them, I won't get into all that now after all this is supposed to be a celebration of their life together. Anyway, here is my matchbox. The surprise element in this is the illusion that it is a framed picture. The picture of them was taken at my wedding.

But it's a matchbox full of love! The ribbon broach is a broken piece of Gran's jewelry. The poppy represents Papa's service in the army.

Under the poppy is loving goodness. A ring that Papa bought for Gran when they were on a trip back home to England (they took me with them), a heart charm to represent love, two pictures of all Papa's meaddles, a footprints pin to remind us of the Footprints poem and that Papa is above watching over us, and a crystal to help heal a broken heart.

thank you ladies for your inspiration and for taking a peek a my matchbox craft.
18  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Harry Potter Shrine on: January 19, 2010 05:52:30 PM
I made this Harry Potter Shrine for my cousin for Christmas. I used a small tin with Dimension's of 3.5 inches tall and total inside of 5.5 inches wide. I used clipart photos, wood, silver jewelry pieces, bead, mirror, locket and some other things to create this great shrine. I only wish I made one for myself too!

19  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Halloween Hoodies on: November 17, 2009 09:21:24 AM
My son and I had a blast making these Hoodies a few years ago. He cut out the material himself and glued it on where he wanted it, he even helped a bit with the sewing part. Then I put the 3D paint on and it was the longest 24 hours in his life! He just could wait to wear his hoodie, whenit was finally all dry he wore it to bed!
