51  Re: Wizard of Oz 2010 Gallery! in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by Juliana13 on: March 06, 2010 12:16:44 PM
I opened my package  Grin and got some really cool stuff! I was so spoiled by Zombiekilla, it felt like Christmas!! I told her that the Scarecrow was my fav and here is everything I recieved she made my first swap so much fun! and You were right by the way Zombiekilla, I already entered another swap  Tongue

I got a cool tin that had a necklace in it and a magnet. I didn't even tell her I liked to collect tins and I got one!

Here's a close up of the necklace

She said she had a thing for magnets and she must because she even made me one!

Here's a poster that was bought for me, I'm going to frame it Cheesy

and speaking of frames Zombiekilla even made me one!! We are planning on going to Niagara Falls and going to the wax museum there where they have the Oz gang so I'll make sure to take a picture of me with them and put in this frame.

And if that wasn't enough...check out this doll she made me!! My cousin is going to be sooo jealous  Tongue

52  father's day scrapbook (image heavy) in Scrapbooking: Completed Projects by Juliana13 on: January 29, 2010 11:54:56 PM
I've been scrapbook for years trying to re-do old photo albums and save old pictures. When father's day rolled around I was stuck for ideas then I thought of making a scrapbook of just me and my dad, but I wanted to personalise it a bit so I used the protection covers for hockey cards. Dad loves to collect cards so I stoll a few of his protectors, made my pages, punched a hole in the corner of each and tied it with ribbon... and this is what I came up with.

and here are a few from the inside

he really liked it and he keeps it on his computer desk so he can see it everyday!

53  matchbox of love lost in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Juliana13 on: January 26, 2010 12:26:39 PM
I hope I posted this right.
INSPIRED!! You Ladies inspired me so much that I couldn't help but do this! My matchbox has een inspired by this crafting community and my Grandparents. Last month, right on Christmas day my Grandfather died. He was a very big part of my life, as my Gran is still. I spent a lot of my life with them, I won't get into all that now after all this is supposed to be a celebration of their life together. Anyway, here is my matchbox. The surprise element in this is the illusion that it is a framed picture. The picture of them was taken at my wedding.

But it's a matchbox full of love! The ribbon broach is a broken piece of Gran's jewelry. The poppy represents Papa's service in the army.

Under the poppy is loving goodness. A ring that Papa bought for Gran when they were on a trip back home to England (they took me with them), a heart charm to represent love, two pictures of all Papa's meaddles, a footprints pin to remind us of the Footprints poem and that Papa is above watching over us, and a crystal to help heal a broken heart.

thank you ladies for your inspiration and for taking a peek a my matchbox craft.

54  Re: Wizard of Oz Sign Ups Jan 21 Jan 31 in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by Juliana13 on: January 23, 2010 05:38:17 AM
I'm really excited to be a part of this one!  I've always loved OZ.  When I was a kid I watched the movie so many times I nearly wore out the laser disc.  Yeah, that's right...laser disc ha ha.  Is anyone else out there a fan of Return to OZ with Faruza Balk as Dorothy?  It was so dark and freaky and awesome.
I really loved Return to Oz, but I haven't seen it since I was really little. But I do remember that the "wheelies" scared the crap out of me!! lol
You mean these guys?  Totally scary....not to mention the witch with the closet full of heads!

YES!! I too love Return to Oz. wasn't the witch's name Mombi? Although I love Judy Garland, I must say that I like that in Return to Oz Dorothy is a little girl, like she is supposed to be.
Does anyone remember watching the cartoon The Land of Oz?

55  Harry Potter Shrine in Completed Projects by Juliana13 on: January 19, 2010 05:52:30 PM
I made this Harry Potter Shrine for my cousin for Christmas. I used a small tin with Dimension's of 3.5 inches tall and total inside of 5.5 inches wide. I used clipart photos, wood, silver jewelry pieces, bead, mirror, locket and some other things to create this great shrine. I only wish I made one for myself too!

56  Halloween Hoodies in Halloween Costumes by Juliana13 on: November 17, 2009 09:21:24 AM
My son and I had a blast making these Hoodies a few years ago. He cut out the material himself and glued it on where he wanted it, he even helped a bit with the sewing part. Then I put the 3D paint on and it was the longest 24 hours in his life! He just could wait to wear his hoodie, whenit was finally all dry he wore it to bed!
