3  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects / Coil Bowl on: November 12, 2009 01:38:05 PM
We did a few ceramics projects in my arts and crafts class, and I finally finished one and got it glazed. I'm not too happy with it.. I don't like the inside really at all. I really think I would have liked it had the glaze came out right. I had to glaze twice, the first time the glaze really.. it wasn't nice at all..
anyway here are a few pictures of it:

4  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Multimedia Exploration on: October 29, 2009 02:47:03 PM
So, I'm taking an arts and crafts class as a fine arts credit in college, and I'm totally loving it!
Anyway, one of our projects is a multimedia exploration, and I've finally finished mine!

I'm super proud of it, because I'm just not very artistic, as you can tell.
I think I would also like it more if I liked my actual paintings I did from the very beginning, but it is what it is, and its not TERRIBLE Cheesy
I still have to get it framed to get a grade on it, so that's the next step, haha
anyway, what do you guys think?
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / My first Recon!! [loads o'pics] on: October 19, 2009 06:14:50 PM
Well, I've been lurking around for a while, and I was inspired! So, I ran to the store, got a beginners sewing kit and armed myself with instructables and two old shirts! Said shirts:

Well, my first plan was to take the red/grey shirt and use it to make my white shirt larger and longer. I also wanted to add longer sleeves on, and put the hoodie onto it, because I love a good hoodie. Well, the sleeves and hoodie didn't happen, they just didn't fit, but I did come out with a larger and longer t-shirt that I can actually wear.

here's the sides, before I sewed the bottom on:

Sorry for just links-I don't have ten posts yet! What do y'all think? I taught myself how to sew on it, so I know its not the best quality, but I def hope to get better.
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Question about resizing on: October 16, 2009 11:32:54 PM
Hi! This is my first post! I've been lurking for a while, just interested in the whole clothing making/recon thing, and I've decided, I want to make my own clothes! I've decided to try my hand at reconstructing a few old band t-shirts I have that are just too small. I'm having trouble finding things about making a small t-shirt larger though. I tried to search by hand, and by the search tool, but I have had no luck :[ Anyway, basically, I'm looking for any kind of tips or links to help. I've never done any kind of sewing even, so this is a major learning experience for me. Any help will def be appreciated! Thanks in advance!
