OH.MY.GOD!!! I hate clutches, I hate them, they irritate me so much ... I can't deal with the whole..Having to hold them all the time thing. BUT WOW. I'd be PROUD to walk around holding that all day, that's amazing! Adn that you MADE it for a friend. You took time out of your life to sit down and put all that effort into something taht wasn't even for you. WOW. That's brilliant! I hope she loved it just as much as the rest of us? It looks really porfessional and well done, I LIKE Cheesy:D

30  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Bella Paquita on: April 24, 2005 12:03:37 AM
Oh yeah! I was dreading getting the old Janome out and CUTTING and SEWING my knitting!! But it turned out hat I didn't have to anyways. I only did 7 or 8 repeats of the lace pattern down each side, and just seamed it up appropriately. To work out how many repeats I wanted, all I did was work a couple of right hand lacey bits, then rip out the cast on and work the same amount of left lacey bits (or maybe it was left lacey bits, then right? I dunno, the pattern tells you which chart to knit form first) and hung it round my neck. I kept knitting more and more until it got to a length I liked. Not really mathematical or precise, but it works Tongue
