151  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: new purse--mini duffle on: January 04, 2005 09:13:22 PM
That's really cool, I like the way the two fabrics go! How'd you make it? Or was it from a tutorial someone already posted? It's really cool!
You don't HAVE to resive them, anyways, do you? Or at least, not that small!  But it looks great!

Nicely done! I was thinking about how I could make one of them, but wasn't sure about how to stick the stuff to the frame. Hot glue, eh? You reckon it's pretty sturdy?
(I love your earrings, BTW, Especially that one with the swallowy looking bird on it!!)
155  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Tips for Participating in Craft Fairs / Re: disappointing craft fair on: January 04, 2005 01:35:35 AM
I've never done a craft fair or anything, but from what I've heard, and from the potential customers point of view:
If you already sell your stuff on eBay, let people there know that you're going to be at a Fair. Those who lurk but never buy may actually buy, if they can get up close and touch things.
Maybe share a table or something with a friend who does a completely different type of thing, you'll attract twice as many customers. Or push your tables together. Or branch out your self into other crafts, but I think someone else already said that.
Like everyone said, I wouldn't even bother with the shows that aren't just for handcrafted things.
Just some suggestions.. Huh But I reckon for your first show you did really well! $60! That's pretty good, you know, that could go towards the table for your next show!
Wow, your husband sounds really nice too..I want one just like that!..Maybe you could get him to make some stuff, too? If he does woodwork or something?  Undecided
