181  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Christmas Stocking on: October 27, 2009 10:40:43 AM
Since I took the day off to relax, of course, I'm spending it crafting!  (What?  Yelling at the sewing machine isn't relaxing?  Really?)

Anyhoodle, I have completed my very first stocking without using a pattern.  That might have saved me a little while, honestly, but I won't bore you with the numerous errors I made in the construction.  Regardless, I'm pleased with the end result (even if there's now a teeny dot of ... something on the back ... I have no idea how it got there, but oh well)!

182  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Purse on: October 27, 2009 10:31:48 AM
I completed this purse for my uncle's wife for Christmas.  I used AiviloCharlotte's (she's on etsy) pattern.  Great pattern, fun bag! (There are pockets inside too!)

183  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Holiday Cards on: October 24, 2009 08:01:48 PM
While at Joann's Fabric the other day, I noticed far too many fun papercrafting things on sale, so here are my (very) first forays into papercrafting!  I used portions of last year's holiday cards and cardstock from Michael's, as well as my new punches and such.

And this one's my favorite!

Updated:  I changed the first card (didn't like my lack of freehanding skills!) and made a few more.  I'm loving the nativity one, personally!  (Is it bad that I want to keep all of my cards for myself?  Alas.)

184  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Seashell Angel Ornaments on: October 03, 2009 09:47:56 PM
Hello!  I'm a new member, so if I'm doing this wrong, just poke me and I'll fix it. Smiley  I also hope that this idea hasn't been posted ad nauseum (sorry, if it has!)

Anyway, last January, my extended family took a trip to the beach and I collected seashells while I was there.  Inspiration struck while I was looking through them a few days ago and I came up with seashell angel ornaments.  Not only are they darling (in my not-so-humble opinion!) but they're a lasting reminder of a fabulous vacation with family!

So, outside opinions?  Do they look like angels or is it so late I no longer have accurate perception?  Smiley
