3  Re: Matchbox Swap 7 (SO 3/30) in The Swap Gallery by plucky1_08 on: April 07, 2013 08:30:13 PM
I received my matchbox from onecrazymom.  She chose my family tree theme.  I would have never thought to do this theme this way and love it.  The top is a magnet and yes there is a magnet under the paper on the box so it sticks to the matchbox.  (Love that) Cheesy

Here are all the goodies that were stuffed inside.

I especially love the scrabble tile charm (the flag stamp) the shamrock, the tiny shells and I'm thinking the blue stone will become a necklace.  Thanks so much I love everything.

Details of swap: Find a matchbox that holds between 30-40 wooden matches (roughly 2 inches by 1 inches) and fill it as full as you possibly can with tiny supplies. You'll be amazed by how much you can fit in it! You can put anything you want in it, as long as it is craft related.  Supplies such as beads, paper, ephemera, postage stamps, brads, buttons, fibers, embellishments, stamped images, stamps, ribbons, stickers, foam shapes, fake flowers.  Handmade goodies such as, earrings, magnets, a necklace, charms, pins.  If it fits and can be used in a craft, or is a craft it's fair game.
You can have 1 or 2 partners -- you will decorate a matchbox for each partner, and you will receive a matchbox from each partner. You will list 5 themes that appeal to you and hopefully your partner will choose one of those themes but of course your partner may have ideas of their own.  Just as long as you decorate and cram as much into the box as you can all will be good.  This swap is meant to be a quick, easy, and cheap swap so no extras. If it doesnt fit in the matchbox do not send it.

About shipping:
Delivery confirmation is required in the US for this swap, and swappers sending non-US packages must keep mailing receipts and be willing to send a scan or picture of that receipt if there is a problem. If you are unsure if your package is big enough to qualify for delivery confirmation, please upgrade to a bigger envelope or box.
Also, remember to send a message to your partner and your organizer when you send AND when you receive. In a large swap, it is difficult for us to keep track of receiving just by posts in the threads. Thanks!

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer:

Name of swap
Craftster username
Email address
Your real name
Mailing address including the country
Would you be willing to ship to an address outside your own country?
Confirm that are at least 16 years old or, if not, that you have moderator approvalYES/NO
If within the US, understands that Delivery Confirmation number is required for this swap: YES/NO
If outside US, understands you must retain shipping receipts for proof of shipment:  YES/NO
Do you have a camera and promise to post pics of your package when you receive?

How many partners do you want?  1 or 2

List 5 themes you would like your partner to choose from:

Is there anything else your partner/organizer needs to know?

Also, remember to read the Swap Info Guide to find other rules about participating in a swap.

I received 2 great ATC's and an extra from Susie Apple.

First is the homemade envelope she used...

For my pin up theme and the extra (the giraffe post card)

And what is definitely one of my fave cards for my naughty word theme (which she managed to pick my 2 fave bad words without knowing it)  I made it mature just in case...don't want to offend anyone.   Smiley
