1  Woo! Long overdue on the posting! (Noro Scarf) in Knitting: Completed Projects by Seika on: March 07, 2008 03:18:56 AM
So a long time ago, I was walking through my LYS and saw that they had some Noro tucked away discreetly behind the Malabrigo.  I had been lusting over those striped scarves, and decided I must have one.  I ended up only buying one ball of each colour, so its short enough that it doesn't try to blow away when I outside.  I like-y and I always get complements at my HS when I wear it Cheesy

The "artistic' shot  Wink:

Thanks for looking!

2  Re: Postsecret Swap Round 3 GALLERY!! in The Swap Gallery by Seika on: February 15, 2008 05:19:26 PM
I've gotten four so far:

"I sucked my thumb until I was in seventh grade"  The other side reads, "No one knows this except my parents"
Thank you for sharing this!

"I would have made a great 1950's house wife!"
I love this card, I've always wondered what living in that period was like

"ORAL SEX is still rape"
I most definitely agree

"I have a huge crush on some of our regulars. (one of them delivers salt to us.  I look for him every Friday)"
One of my friends rearranges her schedual just so she can see this one delivery guy.  I totally get this one!

Thank you all so much for sharing your secrets!

3  Re: "Twilight" by Stephanie Meyer Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Seika on: February 04, 2008 01:24:52 PM
I like it when I get fun stuff in the mail.

I also love my swap partner.

My mother (after a moment of her tormenting me) presented me with this

To which I squealed and opened, to find a BOARD GAME!!!

As well a flippin' sweet note book, with a flippin' sweet pencil:

And some tarot cards, complete with a little book about which characters are which and how to use them(these aren't all of them, I tried to get one of each character):

Starting at the top, counter clock wise is the Volturi, Esme, Bella

Edward, Jane, And Jasper (look particularly fierce)

Alice, James, The Pack, and Jake

Thank you so much elwynceltic!  Everything is so awesome!  My friend and I will be playing this game as soon as she can get over here! (I;m going to be Bella  Wink )

4  Mum's Lacey Scarf in Knitting: Completed Projects by Seika on: January 16, 2008 06:47:19 PM
So, my mum's christmas present was a bit late, but she still loves it.  I took the alce pattern from the diamond scarf in Twinkle's Big City Knits and put in two repeats, with 1x1 ribbing on the edges.  I made it in some superwash Mission Falls 1824 wool in a nice eggplant-y plum-ish colour.  She loves it!

And tasselly goodness!

Comments would be greatly appreciated!  Cheesy

7  My take on the kimono hoodie (well fed pictures :P ) in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Seika on: July 07, 2007 05:35:29 PM
So, I saw madpimp's kimono hoodie and loved it, and then saw that she had a made a tutorial and loooooved her, so I went out, bought some fabric ($2/m, shweet!)  And made this:

(pardon the annoyed looks, my mother and I were mouthing off at each other at the time.  Also, ignore the fading hair/roots...)

hood down

...and Harley wanted to be seen, but apparently not picked up.  Typical boys  Roll Eyes

And comment appreciated, and criticism would be absolutely wonderful!

PS Thanks again for the wonderful tutorial!  Here's the original post https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=177160.0

9  New Lacey Skirt :) (picture chubby:P) in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Seika on: April 21, 2007 04:41:56 PM
So, I was bored and needed room in my dresser and closet, and decided that recons would be the ideal solution for my problem.  This is the first thing I made today, and the only thing I could get pictures of before the camera ran out the door and into my mothers coat Wink  It's made of 3 old shirts, and some lace.  Criticism would be appreciated Smiley

Ignore my badly faded hair...it was the same colour as the lace, before it faded and turned an odd purpley colour...

Also, the skirt is slightly more burgandy, I guess, than the picture shows.  When the camera comes back, I'll try to take a more accurate colour shot.

10  Re: New Knitty's Calorimetry in Knitalongs by Seika on: January 17, 2007 01:02:40 PM
So, I finally got off my bum after seeing all of your lovely posts and made my own.  However, like the stubborn/lazy teen I am, decided not to change any of the pattern, and cast on.

Pardon my face in the first picture, I was tiiiired...I hate test/exams Angry

Stupid nerdy smile...aka front

Yucky frizzy hair...aka side

Back...I used two buttons

And on my floor, all buttoned up

My mother has comissioned me to make an army for her....
(these pictures have been sitting around for a while Cheesy )
