1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Re: Can anyone recommend a wrap dress pattern? on: March 31, 2012 03:19:58 PM
There's also this wrap dress on Burdastyle: http://www.burdastyle.com/patterns/wrap-dress-plus-size-022011

I haven't used it, but it looks nice, and I hear good things about their patterns in general.

I am shocked and awed by his magical tininess. I want to keep him in my pocket to hold in my hand when I am sad.

I got the fabric at Jo Ann's.

Thanks, guys! I'm really pleased with it myself. I might even wear it today.
5  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / Circus sundress on: February 23, 2008 03:15:12 PM
It's a lovely springy day here, so I decided to make a sundress. It's one of those from the fabric that's smocked around the top. I cut off about 10" of fabric at the bottom and hemmed it, and then I used the scraps to make straps. I think it's kind of fun and vintage feeling -- the colors and dots make me think of the circus.

I'd say start to finish it took about 90 minutes.
6  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: ZOMBIES ARE LOVE SWAP gallery! on: October 30, 2007 06:51:34 AM
YAY!  I did receive, apparently way earlier this week, but it took two PMs for me to get off my lazy butt and ask my mom if anything came for me.  Lo and behold, it did!

GLEE!  It was like the best Christmas ever.

Yay! I'm so glad you enjoyed -- and posted pictures, I neglected to take any.
7  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Sickeningly Commercial Birthday Desserts! VERY PIC HEAVY! on: August 12, 2007 04:34:31 PM
Oh, man, I always wanted a doll cake when I was little. My mom would never go for it.
8  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Fairytale Creature Swap Gallery on: June 08, 2007 08:38:30 AM
My package from bronzfrog is trapped at the post office until I can retrieve it...but, she got my package, which contained:

Two boxes (one for her and one for her daughter) with fairy wings on top and a little treasure-holding necklace inside. They're lined with felt and the bottoms are covered in felt and they're glittery on the top and front.

And a t-shirt with fairy wings on the back (the front is plain). There was also a book of unicorn stickers, but I just bought those, and I didn't take a picture.
9  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Felt Mascot or Little Stuffie Swap R3 Foods! -- Gallery on: April 26, 2007 06:02:50 PM
I just wanted to publicly say how much I love all the things nightlight sent me. The banana in particular is just marvelous, and looks even more fantastic in person. I pinned it on my blazer and it makes a perfect little accent. When she receives the things I shipped her, I'll post pictures of those.

This swap has been really great!
