My AMAZING post arrived!  So much talent!  Thank you Teag.  I love it all!

It has a light blue all over the sky that is not showing up so well.  But it is more amazing in true color.

= Mind blown away.  The writing says Every dream fulfilled begins with a simple wish.....

But then special ATC's inside ~ OMG!!!!!!!!

And some cute bunny corner bookmarks. You can't tell it in the pic but they are metallic. Awesome!  Shocked  How she knew I love to read and have been wanting some of these is a mystery.

And a card with my name on the front.

Super fun swap/ With some out of this world talent!!!!!!  Thanks for a great package partner.

2  Brown Bear What do u see Applique in Machine Embroidery: Completed Projects by taraston on: September 25, 2011 11:29:37 AM
The book is Brown Bear Brown Bear what do you see?  And we have been reading it in Kindergarten to learn colors. So each day was wear that color day and I decided at the end of the 2 weeks I wanted to wear all the colors from the book.
I am by no means a seamstress and all that measuring and straightness is NOT ME! I just eyeball cut the cloth and sewed and glued with all kinds of scraps I had around the house. I was going for whimsical not straight and perfect.     But the kiddies loved my Brown bear skirt. Here's some in progress shots

And finally I velcroed them on a skirt

I really enjoyed the kids reaction and hope to incorporate different patches for different learning units and Holidays.
C&C welcome especially if you have a good tutorial I could use!  Oh and FYI if the velcro says not intended for fabric it doesn't hold well! Live and Learn.

7  Re: Personal/Private Swap Gallery, 2010 in The Swap Gallery by taraston on: August 23, 2010 02:19:49 PM
I ask Spoopy to do a personal swap since she was in Canada and couldn't do the One tiny polymer thing swap!
Here is my fabulous package:

One cool ami Bob-omb  from Mario for my son!
Two packs of sweets (that my son ran off with! as I yell "I better at least get a taste or you might have two broke arms!")  Spoopy is super sweet my son broke his arm and she included stuff for him!

And the polymer things:
One blueberry, One raspberry, one strawberry, and a super butterfly!  I love them! I was out picking the last of our blueberries last week so this is super neat!!!

the details on the leaves and berries is spot on! I love it all. Thanks a million Spoopy.

8  Re: CLOSED:One Tiny Polymer Clay Thing:July 3rd-July 17 EXTENDED sent out by Aug14th in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by taraston on: August 17, 2010 07:53:02 PM
OK Spopy and I swapped since she is in Canada.  She recieved so I wanted to show what I made her!
Eachone is 2 x 2 clay so all together  4x4 without the wire. I envisioned it being all four connected so she could hang on either side but I liked the versatility of individuals.
Here's the whole pack. Minus more candy. I sent more candy since I maximized the weight for the same cost!

And close up of trees...

And Back...

Wish we could have been in on the swap but I really enjoyed swapping along even if we weren't "officially " in it!

9  Re: Teesha Moore Type Journal.. anyone want to play?? in Needlework: Stitchalongs by taraston on: August 11, 2010 11:38:10 AM
OK so I inherited a sewing machine and after a few weeks of looking at it and the 100 spools of thread, 10 pounds of cloth, one huge bucket of zippers and a pillow case full of buttons I decided she would want me to use it.
So I organized, sorted and started cutting. most of the fabric was used for clothes and patterns were cut out so lots of different shapes.
here's what I have all in progress:
or if it won't come up http://www.flickr.com/photos/taraston/4883028934/

Here's the shooting star:
Ignore the threads I am going to add beads and bits!

Here's the hand sewn ones:
I have not finished the one on the left,  and I don't like the one on the right it looks kinda wavy? My hand stitching need some work. But I'm hoping it will look better sewn with others!

And two I did all on the machine: I like them but they are pretty flat.

Not sure what they will be when they grow up but I hope they make me happy and proud!
