1  Hunger Games Shoes in Shoes: Completed Projects by Hika-chan on: November 04, 2012 12:38:20 AM
It's been a really long time since I posted anything here.  But I just finished a pair of shoes for another craftster and had to share. Smiley

She gave me a pair of black canvas shoes she got from payless and said she wanted something hunger games related. The following is what I came up with.

The image isn't the best. It was taken with my cell phone. Thanks for looking. Smiley

As always  comments/critique/questions are always welcome.  Thanks again. Smiley

Neko Haven

All items come from a smoke free home in Washington.  We are very pet friendly here with 3 cats and a great dane. Items are normally crafted in the office which is pet free. Any questions, feel free to ask.  Thanks all for visiting my shop.  Grin

Now Offering:

Custom Work:
Please pm me if you have any questions.

Custom painted coffee cups- 2 points
These are examples I have done. Each cup is handpainted with ceramic paints and is safe to use and wash. Dishwaser safe also. I have white and black coffee cups at the moment that are the size of the JiJi one.

Custom Painted Totes- 2 points each

Example of work...totes are this size though. I have a royal blue, hot pink, neon green atm. I can easily get white and pink as shown, kahaki or plain white. Would make for a cute personalized stocking stuffer especially if their name was on it. These make great library book bags. Grin

Custom Magnet Playset- 1 pt.
Example of one I have done. I have also done Sailor Moon magnet paper dolls. My kids love them! Cute stocking stuffer!  Grin

Custom Painted Boxes- 2  pts.
Example of one I did recently. This one is a cigar box and would make for a great art supply storage.

Custom Portraits 5x7- 3 pts. with frame or 2 pts. without
Examples of work I have done. Portraits are in a monochromatic color scheme and done in acrylics (doesn't have to be black and white). Character portraits are done in copic markers. If you want more than one, let me know and we can work out a deal. These are really cute hanging next to eachother and would be a nice xmas gift for someone who is hard to shop for.

3 Point Items:

Kitchen Princess Shoes

These are hand painted and sealed to be water proof, making them completely washable - canvas shoes in a size 6. Sadly they are too small for me.

1 Point Items:

Harry Potter type wands (would be happy to custom make one)

These range in size but average is about 12 inches. They're sturdy and hold up well when dropped and played with. They do not hold up when played with by your dog. Learned that the hard way. None of the them are replicas- more individual type wands. First wand is in Ravenclaw house colors, second wand in Griffondor house colors, third wand is not available and last wand is based on nothing, just for fun. Great stocking stuffers for little wizards  Grin

Mini Harry Potter Wand Ornaments (would be happy to custom make)
1 point for 2

Photo shows size comparison between ornaments and play wands. Ornaments range in size. They will come strung on clear line. These would be cute on a tree for a HP fan in house colors.

Cinnamini Necklace- 1 pt. each

This is a felted cinnamini charm strung from either a mini ball chain or a plastic chain. Ball chain comes in either black, pink or blue. Plastic comes in brown, pink, blue, green. Fun stocking stuffer for a little girl Cheesy

Felt Food- Cinnaminis 1 pt for all 6

I have 6 Cinnaminis that would love to join your little ones play kitchen. These are like cinnamin rolls, but smaller. The picture shows all six on a standard saucer plate (the small ones that come in dish sets). I would recommend for children past the nom-nom stage as the cinnaminis have "icing" on them that could come off and be a hazard.

4  Harry Potter Movie Like Wands in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Hika-chan on: November 11, 2011 03:57:46 AM
My girls are into Harry Potter recently. Not sure how or why since they have only seen the first movie and that was a while ago. Anyway, with the upcoming holiday and them being into the movie, I thought wands would make a great stocking stuffer! So after a few days (I usually only have a small window of time to work on stuff for them in the day), I finally finished these! I'm really happy with how they turned out! Especially the Griffindor colored one. I think thats my favorite.

These aren't movie replicas. They're just wands I made with the movie as inspiration.  The picture doesn't show it very well, but the colors have a sparkle sheen to them, like metallic almost. I think my girls are gonna be VERY happy with them also.  Cheesy

Thanks for looking and as always C&C is always welcome.  Grin

5  Anime/Manga Inspired Painted Shoes 4 images in Shoes: Completed Projects by Hika-chan on: November 10, 2011 02:19:16 AM
So I found a new obsession-Painted Shoes!

However, after I finish them, I usually have no idea what to do with them. lol. It would have been smart to get all the shoes in my size.  sigh.  Oh well.

I wanted to share 4 of my favorites.  Grin

Cause you have to Love Totoro!

Ponyo for my daughter

The colors on this one are a bit off. The closest image to actual color is the middle one. These are my Hana-Kimi shoes  Grin Although they are much cleaner in this picture. They have gotten dirty since and need a good bath.

Kitchen Princess Shoes. These are left over from a convention I was at. They're too small for me, which is sad cause I love them so. Kitchen Princess is such a sweet manga.

As always, thanks for looking and C&C are welcomed.  Cheesy

Okay all, I finally got my box from the post office today. Be prepared to be jealous! Silentblair waaay out did herself, not that I am complaining. Wink I got totally spoiled!

First up we have these amazing arm warmers Rainbow Dash style. My girls are modelling them so I could take pictures. I can't wait to wear them! I literally sqealed with glee when I saw them.

Next is my new Fluttershy apron which is sooo perfect. It has the best quote on it too. It reads "I'm so frusterated, I could just kick something!" Which truthfully is usually the way I feel in the kitchen.  Wink Again modelled by my daughter. Its a bit big on her. lol.

And then on top of it, I got this amazing Spike doll! Who is sleeping with my middle child right now. He even has the mustache. (my camera killed the colors, but his belly really is green).

And lastly I got this amazingly perfect hat!! Its a design I had on my wist, but Silentblair made it all applejack-y! I LOVE it!! It's my new favorite hat!! I am going to wear it every day. It is super comfortable too! And even has a hole in the back for my pony tail! (pictures were taken by my 6 year old-she was excited to use the camera.  Smiley )

And from the side:

Silentblair also sent 3 little pinkie pie note books for the kids and a MLP coloring book. However, I haven't seen those since we openned the box. lol. The kids were excited to color in them.  Wink

THANK YOU SO MUCH SILENTBLAIR!! I love all my goodies and they will all be used a great deal. Especially my new hat and arm warmers  Grin

Aww, thanks for the compliments guys. I had a great time painting this project too. And I'm glad you like it TroubleT.  Grin

In Similar news, I received today from plaidpineapple. And might I say those aprons are adorable!! My girls are going to love them. You did such a fantastic job!! The designs are similar, but different enough to make each unique and the colors and fabrics are perfect for both girls. Thank you soo much again!!! I can't wait to see their happy expressions come xmas.

BTW- I forgot to take pictures until the last minute, so thats why you can see my car.  Wink  All holiday gifts hang out at grandmas until its time to wrap. Its safer that way, no one blows the surprise. lol.

Thanks again! They are perfect!

So after the last episode, I have decided that I do like discord. So for all the discord fans out there, I cam across this while searching for references. I did not make it though. I found it on equatria daily.

10  Ballet Tutu in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by Hika-chan on: May 31, 2011 12:07:12 AM
Recently my daughter has started ballet classes and she loves it. Her cousin, who also does ballet, had a very pretty and fluffy tutu that she wore in a presentation. My daughter requested one. After finding out what they had paid for my little cousin's tutu, I decided I could probably make one simular for less.

After three days of working on it, here is the final product of my efforts and my daughter loves it.

The tutu has two layers of toole and three colors.  It's also reversable and has the pink, purple and blue on one side where the blue and purple show more than the pink. The other side has more of the pink showing and only shows small bits of purple and blue. I also added teal ribbons that can be flipped over and seen from both sides, though I dont think you can see them in the picture.

The photo was taken after stretches and before the shoes go on, so the skirt is a little screnched and in disarray.  If I get a better picture I will post it. For anyone who tries to make one of these my biggest piece of advice is make sure you do your measuring without baggy clothes on. I didn't think a t-shirt would make that much of a difference, but it does. Lesson learned. Smiley

Thanks for looking.
