11  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Paper Plate Fish on: June 05, 2013 07:34:01 PM
I made this fish for my dad after trying to find paper plate crafts for my mom to do at her school. I used water colors to paint the plates. That was a really fun process! The colors are really intense but I couldn't get a good pic if the color. I think it's pretty cute.

12  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Dead Guy Desk Organizer on: May 20, 2013 09:03:31 PM
I saw a desk organizer on uncommongoods.com like this but it was a million dollars. In addition to being too expensive, it didn't really suit my needs. So I built a little dude, put him on a little sheet of clay and simply started stabbing my favorite tools into him.

Here he his with a few different deaths...

This one is my favorite

13  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Eyeball Peephole on: May 20, 2013 08:56:18 PM
I made this as an homage to my grandpa. When he died there was discussion about what to do with his glass eye. My friend suggested I take it for my front door and it seemed like a brilliant solution. I made the eye out of clay to match his eye. Most of the family thinks its hilarious! Smiley

Here's to you Gramps!

It matched my old door, but I haven't fixed it since I moved.
14  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Miniature Sewing Room Hidden Object Puzzle on: May 02, 2013 01:36:58 PM
I made this little room out of a cigar box. the inside dimensions are about five by five inches and about six inches tall. The cieling opens up so you can see into the whole room. There are 83 objects hidden in it.

The apple is my favorite! I made it out of polymer clay and I love how real it turned out. Smiley

The little belt around the books was a friend's idea and he totally flipped out when he saw how small I made it.

This is the cieling

I really like the leaf on the floor

Hope you like it!

15  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Plastic Canvas Puzzle Ball on: April 30, 2013 02:04:43 PM
I saw this pattern in one of my origami books. There was no pattern, just a picture for reference. Of course I didn't try it in paper, I just winged it. It's cute. Smiley

16  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Sequined Skull on: April 13, 2013 03:31:44 PM
I bought this paper mache skull at Michael's and hot glued sequins onto it, then glued the skull to a candle stick. It took me 23 hours. I used two sizes of sequins because I ended up not having enough to finish it with the large ones but it's awesome anyway. I finished the face in one eight hour sitting while watching an mtv count down and the biography channel.

17  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Plastic Canvas Rainbow Filligree on: April 08, 2013 12:30:45 PM
This project started off as a distraction meant to only take a few hours... It took about fifteen hours over the course of a week. I cut lengths of plastic canvas one square wide and used a ball of rainbow yarn to stitch all around the edge. I used invisible quilting thread to stitch it all together. Hope you like it!

Measurements are: 18 inches long, 8 inches high and 7 inches wide

A few close ups of parts I like

In progress

18  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Things that are Yellow on: November 08, 2012 12:49:20 PM
I'm super happy with all these charms. Every time I think I have a favorite I choose another. Smiley I'm extremely pleased with the post it note. Smiley

19  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Giant Bird's Nests on: November 08, 2012 12:40:43 PM
My mom is a kindergarten teacher and this year the theme of her classroom is birds. Last year she had a treasure chest for the kids to pick prizes from. This year she's got Treasure Nests. Smiley I have a mud dauber's nest too, but I don't have pics of that one. I covered it in plaster to look like mud and then spray painted it brown.

The first one is supposed to look like straw or something like it.

This one is a magpie nest, that's why it's got lots of little bits stuck in it.

They're about a foot in diameter and about eight inches deep.
20  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Tiny Frog Charm on: November 08, 2012 12:30:47 PM
I've always wanted to make a tiny little frog charm. Here is my first attempt! I'm so hapy I could squeal!  Grin
