1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Winged Unicorn on: July 16, 2014 06:36:00 PM
I picked up this cute little winged horse at Michael's and turned it into a unicorn. I forgot to take a pic before I sewed the horn on though! I crocheted the horn and sewed a button and some beads onto the ears. The hair I curled with chopsticks and my flat iron. (Dampen the hair, roll it around the chopstick and then put a towel around that and held it for about 20 seconds) The wings are detailed with sequins sewn on. Hope you like it!

2  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Polka Dot shoes and Galaxy shoes! on: July 16, 2014 06:10:03 PM
I got both these shoes at WalMart and decided to make them better! Hooray for $5 shoes being your favorites!

3  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Minion Madness Birthday Party! on: July 16, 2014 05:14:22 PM
I made this little minion scene for my sister's birthday. They all have a little L on their chest for her name too. Each one is about 2 inches tall. The mediums are clay and paper, the hair is plastic coated wire that bonds with the clay when it is baked. Each minion took about 6-8 hours and I had a blast the entire time. I was so excited to give these to her and her reaction made all the time and effort more than worth it.

These two are my favorites

Most of the scene together

Some in progress pics

I love the reaction of the one watching the other one eat the cake. The tiny little hats and tiny little noise maker were a blast to make!

The card says happy birthday in Banana Language and all of them signed the card for her

I made all the presents out of a piece of cereal box and then wrapped them in various pretty papers and added ribbons and gift tags

Float away!

Bonus Evil Minion hand mirror!

4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Toilet Paper Tube Minions on: July 15, 2014 04:45:33 PM
Hey there! I am so happy with these things! I saw a tutorial for making toilet paper gift boxes http://lookwhatmomfound.com/2013/01/toilet-paper-roll-gift-box-craft.html I folded one end like in the tutorial and thought to reverse the fold on the other end to see what it looked like. Lots of things came to mind like a rocket or a fox, but I realized the shape was perfect for a minion! The bottoms open to use like gift boxes, but you can also open them to make them stand up. It took forever to make so many, and if I did it again I'd use a computer and printer to make the eyes and mouths. I drew the faces by hand, but it was a lot of fun seeing all the pieces come together.

Rough draft:

This was an easy way to make sure they were all about even

All drying

Once they are dry paint a small rectangle on the front and back for the bib of the overalls and paint another thin blue line all the way around for the strap.

After they dry again start folding them. Fold the middle in for the legs and for the heads fold the top corners in. Glue the head seams closed, but leave the legs unglued so you can fill them with goodies or make them stand up. I used alligator clips to secure the tops while they dried.

For the hair I just cut out a few thin strips of construction paper. When you glue the tops closed just add a few strips of black on the seam and close. Fold the hair down and place the clip over the hair. Don't use too much glue or it will seep out and glue the hair down to the face.

You can see a little pile of eyes on the table, I colored the irises on regular typing paper with a colored pencil and some markers. I used white paint for the eye sparkle. The mouths I drew with a black pen and colored pencil. I cut out silver circles and glued the eye on to the center. I made a random number of eyes and just paired them or left singles if the irises didn't match any others.

Almost done.... I cut out long strips of black construction paper to make the band for the goggles and cut each one to length.

Add a circle with a G in the middle, (or use the recipient's first initial)

Hope you enjoyed these!

5  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Viserion, Rhaegal and Drogon on: October 07, 2013 03:06:55 PM
I made these barrettes so I can geek out at work! A few of my regular customers like Game of Thrones and have noticed these, but most people don't know what to say so they don't say anything. I just get weird looks for wearing dragons in my hair.  Grin

6  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Dragon jar on: July 16, 2013 03:58:27 PM
I made this little jar as a surprise for a coworker. I'm really happy with it! It was a quick project but totally worth it when he took a pic and immediately sent it to his brother to make him jealous. Smiley

7  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker on: June 12, 2013 08:47:20 PM
I made this wall hanging for the Jim Henson swap. It's about 8 by 11. The characters are made over foil bases so they don't weigh as much. It's still a heavy piece because they're so big.

Best part? They glow in the dark!
8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Muppet Inspired Puppet on: June 12, 2013 08:01:36 PM
This cutie was made from an old childhood Santa hat. I really love how much personality he has! The feathers move if you wiggle your middle finger which is hilarious!

Psst. Hey, wanna see me dance?

Hubba Hubba!

Too much?

No? Awesome!

Thanks for looking!

9  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Muppet Themed Thank You Cards on: June 12, 2013 07:46:07 PM
I made these thank you cards for Nolansmomster for the Jim Henson swap. I used quilt patterns for the pieces and hand painted the details. They all have matching envelopes. I'm really happy with them! Cheesy

Big Thanks!

Thanks for being someone I can Count on!

You're a Superhero!

It's crazy how grateful I am!

This one lists Piggy's good attributes and says You're all that!

You're an Animal!

Thanks from both of us!

Here is The Count in progress
