I love that pearl hair clip monkey girl and that amazing dress Zidishaluxe.
So sadly the parcel system either lost or destroyed the parcel DeadBathDucky sent me Sad To be honest, after the state my chapel swap parcel arrived in (covered in punctures) I'm leaning towards destroyed! Deadbathducky was lovely enough to send me a make up package, but I'm just so sad that all her hard work got lost :,(
So here is my replacement package Smiley
First a cute headband, which reminded me of Kiki's Delivery Service, which I love Smiley

Swan glasses

Tattoo sleave, which made me realise I do need another tattoo Smiley

And a mask, I collect them Smiley

Thank you Deadbathducky, for sending me a replacement Smiley I'm so sorry all your hard work got lost Sad

So I was seriously worried when this parcel arrived, it was covered in puncture wounds!!! How on earth did they puncture the parcel??? It was only in the system for 2 days!!! Anyway, everything was safe Smiley And... everything is AMAZING!!!!

It arrived on Friday, which was the day my partner and I had been together for 4 years Smiley And, I have to admit, I did have a bit of a teary opening it haha. So on to pics Smiley

First crochet cherry blossoms!!! I love cherry blossoms and they fit in with mine and my partner's love of Japan

Next the monogramed towels Smiley This is what made me cry haha the idea of being Mr. and Mrs.

Then all the embroidery, this seriously blew my mind! I need one of these machines!!!!

And finaly, my favourite piece, which I feel has both steampunk and Victorian throw backs, which brings in my love of vintage Smiley

I think it will look so cute in a pile of curls Smiley
Thank you so much for being my partner skittlebub! I love love love everything!!! Now it's time to get into gear and finish yours Smiley I AM finishing my large today and it WILL be out of the house by Friday, I am determined. Thank you Skittlebub!!!

And the great things I grabbed from the stash Smiley

Close up of the embroidered leaves, I have plans for these already Smiley

After I added to it there is 10 grams for me to fit in my crafted item! I think it might just stay under... just! Smiley

16  Re: Visit My Town GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by How Lovely on: June 14, 2011 12:16:52 AM
That bag is so beautiful!!! And the apple apron is so cute too, is apple butter similar to lemon butter? It sounds delicious!!!

I'm pretty sure my partner would have received by now, even though it was international, so I will post some pictures for her Smiley Because I am an idiot I forgot to take photos of my town's "produce" but I'll explain:

First was a blue felt purse and blue felt broche from Dharmick Trading, they are a mix of locally crafted handmade goods and fair trade goodies as well, blue because that's my partners fave colour Smiley Dharmick also highlight the very... eccentric... community I live in, though it's fast becoming a yuppy hot spot for Sydney tourists!
Secondly I sent her a lucky dip from my favourite store Nulladolla pottery, they sell pottery all made by local artists, I have been buying the luckydips since I was 5, and still do at 22 Smiley I have so many cute (and a couple of hideous Cheesy ) animals, and now mgailp will have one too Smiley
Finally I sent this strange doll I found at Nikki B's which is a retro/antique store, whilst this wasn't handmade our town is very big on antiques and my partner collected dolls. She seemed to be made out of cloth but was very stiff and had a rather large head, kinda like a Blythe doll and was dressed in a puffy white dress Smiley Wish I grabbed a photo!

By the way, my town is Milton, NSW, AUSTRALIA if you want to google it, hehe there might be photos of our Scarecrow festival from this weekend Smiley

For the crafted item I made my partner a punkin, my first one, so she wasn't fanastic but I was pretty happy with her Smiley My partner's town is famous for strarberries and has a strawberry festival every year where they name a Strawberry King and Queen... so I made next years queen Wink they also have an aligator in the middle of town that writes for the local paper. It was funny how similar our towns were with  their antiques and eccentricities Cheesy

Here is my Punkin in her strawberry dree, sorry for all the writing, silly me not taking photos! punkin pattern is from Ghillie and you can get it over at the punkin and poppet along Smiley

17  Honey Bear in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by How Lovely on: May 29, 2011 07:14:21 PM
This is Honey Bear Cheesy

He's about 33cm long and made out of faux fur. The original pattern calls for fleece but there was no bear coloured fleece at the store but the faux fur worked just as well Smiley

Haha yes... I did stitch one of his legs a little wonky!

I got the pattern for free Cheesy for signing up to the newsletter at Funky Friends Factory, the pattern was super easy to follow and didn't take much time at all. There are so many cute little animals at this website I think the lamby will have to be next Smiley

Here is the site if you're interested www.funkyfriendsfactory.com it also had some handy toy making tips Smiley

20  Paper Bird Houses *Pic Extreme* in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by How Lovely on: March 26, 2011 05:53:41 PM
Two weeks ago I went to the Sydney Craft Expo, it was amazing!!!! I got this little chipboard birdhouse kit, it was basically the shape of the houses and the stand ready to be decorated Smiley

I went for a pink and pearl approach, very girly Smiley

I did go a little overboard with the hot glue, so I used DMC thread to cover it up. All the houses are covered in scrapbooking paper, ribbons, beads, paper and metal butterflies, embossed stamps and metal keys. This one has a chandelier in the window Smiley

The base is painted and then covered in fake flowers I pulled apart and the leaves, as well as bead toadstools Smiley
