1  Totoro hand carved stamps and stamped fabric in Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects by How Lovely on: September 16, 2012 06:21:35 PM

This is my first attempt at rubber stamp carving. Totoro and an Umbrella.

I decided to stamp some fabric Smiley Its 1m by 45cm... It took ages! I used versacraft fabric stamps and heat set them. I'm so happy with how it turned out, carving the stamps was so much fun! I will definitely be making more!!!

I'll be celebrating my first Halloween this year, I'm pretty excited! I get to teach all my classes dressed up! I thought I'd make some pumpkin earrings for the occasion Cheesy

I'll also be carving my first Jack O Lantern with a class full of 10 year olds! Pretty nervous about that! Any tips would be most welcome Cheesy

4  Alice in Wonderland White Rabbit Clutch in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by How Lovely on: August 27, 2012 06:44:34 AM
When I came across this fabric my heart skipped a beat! I'll say this for Japan, they sure know how to make cute fabric! So I grabbed some and brought it home before reason could take over my spending habits!

Such a sweet print needed a sweet design, so voila! A buttercup clutch purse! It's a slight alteration on Rae Holestras original Buttercup bag Smiley C&C 100% welcome!

A brooch and a key chain

Handbag note cards

Long gloves, almost to my shoulder!

Vintage earrings, doilies and bracelets Cheesy LOVE THEM!

Magazines from 1959!

As promised, the lovely postcards I received this week! I'm so lucky they made it in one piece as we have been having serious Typhoons this week. Expecting another one today... But it's strangely nice out!

The rocket one is from the 1950's! The gates are at St. Augustine in Florida.

And as promised, a teaser pic Smiley I finally found some thrift stores! This is what I bought yesterday, it's being very repurposed so won't look anything like this when it arrives haha

It is a Yukata. Kind of like a kimono but much less formal and for summer. They are mostly warn to festivals. I loved it and had to have it for this swap Smiley I hope you like what it's already halfway turned into Plum Crafty! I'm having so much fun on this swap, but today I have to not craft and actually get my uni work done Sad

Haha in Japan endymion Smiley There are a lot of crazy fabrics here! Maybe I should look into exporting haha.

So Raewolo's amazing package, thank you so much for sharing your life with me! Each day is in its own envelope made from a Pottery Barn catalogue. I'd never heard of Pottery Barn, but after seeing these beautiful envelopes I really want to go there!

Having just moved overseas I don't have much in the way of a stash, so she sent me an travel sewing kit!!! Cutest pouch!!! Thank you! Oh and the beautiful colours? My wedding colours Cheesy

My walls are also super bare here, our apartment came furnished so it is very stark and not at all to our tastes! So she sent me this beautiful embroidery for my wall, it's already up Smiley It's really inspired me to try out embroidery!

Oh what a cute little pouch! But what's inside? Silk petals for my flower girl when I get married! Yay! We'll actually be allowed to spread these in the church Smiley

Thank you so much raewolo! I love everything and I feel so special that you would allow me to read about your life!

Thanks Kitten Wrangler for organising such a great swap!

8  Re: Lets Get Foxy now show me your Hooters! Owl and Fox Swap Gallery in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by How Lovely on: May 23, 2012 05:59:39 PM
So I got home very early from work last night... About an hour after I started, sick Sad My fianc was also home sick and watching things on the computer, so I didn't want to deprive him of it.
Here is the amazing package I received from Ysmeine, it really brightened up this week! Prepare for a seriously awesome package! I couldn't believe the size of the box! It was decorated in owls, I saw it in the post van and knew immediately it was for me Smiley

The sweet little card that greeted me as I opened the box:

Some sweet extras!

If I can get out of bed today I'm going to buy a percolator! (Hate being sick on the weekend!)

I have wanted to try this forever!

Onto the crafts! These hand painted mugs, they were a little difficult to photograph, so maybe if Ysmeine has a better shot she might post it Smiley

An AMAZING basket, I don't think I'll ever be able to put anything in it because I don't want to hide the beautiful fox!

An beautiful stationary kit to help me keep in touch with home! This is seriously impressive!

And the item that leaked that everyone was curious about, even though he leaked he's still perfect! A mosaic for tray.

I feel thoroughly spoilt! Thank you so much Ysmeine! You are so talented!!!
