well yes, any yarn that felts... wool and alpaca are both great yarns for felting...

FluffyMonkey:  yes!  the felted angle purse can be done in crochet.  just follow the amount of sts and the increases.  you can use any yarn really, just choose a hook about 2 sizes larger than recommended.

ok, so i'm not a regular craftster post-er, but i want to be!

so here's a start

my new crochet pattern!  a cool crochet keychain

the Tilt cap is all knit...

the DC Shoes hat is knitted with crochet around the top and bottom... and the visor is crochet...

for the DC Shoes hat, try k1, p1 ribbing with two are three stands of yarn held together, knit on large needles, and make a tube that would fit your head... then work single crochet around the top of the tube, decreasing until you reach the center... work single crochet along the other edge of the tube for the bottom of the cap... and for the visor, it looks like treble crochet and then two rows of single crochet for the edge...
