1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Spring Versatile Tube Dress...thing... on: January 06, 2006 04:11:10 PM
I really hate winter, so I'm already coming up with my spring clothing collection (just like the designers).  Making bright colored clothes ought to cheer me up. Undecided

It's basically a tube dress with ruffles.  I attached a satin part at the top that can be tied in the front, or around the neck for a halter look.  I need to clean it up some, but I'm happy with it.  Sorry for the dirty mirror. Tongue Grin
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Two Beaded Shirts on: December 09, 2005 10:03:50 PM
I got these Czech beads super cheap on Ebay and I decided to use them to glam up my old shirts.  Took about an hour each, but it went by fast in front of the tv.   Wink

3  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Turning Tubes inside Out on: July 01, 2005 06:48:46 PM
I searched for this topic, but I didn't find it, so I guess I'll post it here...

Okay, so I was trying to make a drawstring backpack yesterday, and I was almost finished, except for the straps.  I sewed up my tube of fabric, then nearly cried and tore the whole thing up trying to turn it inside out.  Is there any way to make straps, purse handles, etc. easier to turn inside out?  Is there something I can buy?

Here are some designs that I came up with that I might sell.  Just wanted to post to see what you guys thought.  Smiley

5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Beaded Cuffs on: April 17, 2005 09:15:36 PM
I made these cuff bracelets with some old flat plastic beads that I had.  I hope to buy more of these beads because they remind me of candy...not that I need any, though. lol

6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Beaded Tank on: April 17, 2005 09:10:03 PM
I finally took the advice of some of the other Craftsters here and figured out how to hand-bead a top.  I wanted to put a little embellishment on my white tank, so I made a pattern that reminds me of fireworks...you know, because I'm so fiery and all.

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Beaded Clothing on: February 19, 2005 08:22:54 PM
Hey, this is my first post, although I've been lurking for months...hope that doesn't sound weird.

Anyway, I've searched several boards here for tips and ideas on hand-sewing beads on clothing but I can't find anything.  Does anyone have any ideas or any links that I can follow.  I just want to find out some of the basic techniques to sewing on seed beads and tiny rochelles onto shirts, purses, etc. so that it looks professional and not all bunched up.

Any ideas?  Thanks!
