1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Bridesmaids Request Puzzle Cards on: June 05, 2010 04:49:24 PM
My fiance and I finally set a date. We made if a while away (almost 2 years haha) but I'm really glad because (being a crafty chick) I want to do a lot of it myself, and this will give me ample time.
I had this idea for my save the dates originally, but realizing I would have to make 100+ of them was pretty intimidating. I was still dying to incorporate this idea somewhere and this is what I came up with:

I'm so excited and how it came out. It says bridal party because I'm planning to 2 bridesmen as well  (and emu has been my nickname since I was 15). Smiley
Our colors are bright pink and green and we plan on using cherry blossoms.
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Mega Man Bracelet (my first time using a bead loom!) on: April 19, 2010 06:40:10 PM
I picked up a bead loom on sale a few weeks ago and decided to give it a try. It took a little while to get the hang of, but I absolutely love it now!
Here is my first (nerdy, of course) creation:

I'm still unsure as to how I want it to clasp. Any ideas (or c & c) is welcome! Smiley
3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Cross Stitch Bulbasaur (on waste canvas) on: March 21, 2010 08:24:25 PM
My fiance and I are going to be in a Pokemon pub crawl in Boston next weekend, and I had just seen some waste canvas on sale at work so I thought I'd stitch something up for us. I would've loved to do full costumes, but I wasn't thrilled about the idea of traveling with them.
We're on Team Bulbasaus, so I found some Bulbasaur sprites and put this on our shirts:

The picture is a little blurry, but I love the way they came out (especially since this was my first time using waste canvas!).
4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Perler/Fuse Bead Sailor Moon on: March 15, 2010 07:17:41 AM
I never know exactly where to put my perler bead projects, so I figured the miscellaneous board was a good bet. Smiley
I've been on a cross stitch kick lately but had an urge to pull out my perler beads over the weekend and ended up with this:

She came out to be about 2 feet tall! I hung her on the wall and I think I may attempt the other scouts over the next few months and maybe have a wall with all of them eventually. Smiley
5  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Futurama Cross Stitch on: March 01, 2010 09:58:01 PM
I finished this tonight, and I love it.
Every time I watched this episode ("I, Roomate", I believe) of Futurama, I saw this on the wall and thought to myself I have to make it. So I finally did!
I like how it turned out, though I think I may add a binary border. Enjoy!

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / I taught myself to knit! :) on: February 13, 2010 08:18:54 PM
After a slow week at work (and a huge yarn sale), I decided that I would finally attempt crochet or knitting. I was told by almost everyone I asked that crochet would be easier, so I tried that first. I could get a basic chain stitch but anything after that turned into a knotty mess. So I gave knitting a try and I was so surprised when I picked it up so quickly. I wanted to make something small for my first project, so I knitted this scarf for the cat (she's not very amused, but I'm proud of it lol). Smiley

7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Resin Bracelet on: February 03, 2010 04:51:01 PM
I recently starting playing with resin (I fell in love) and had an idea for a bracelet.
Here's what I ended up with, hope you like it!

I still need to sand it and figure out how to get rid of all the bubbles, not just most, but I think it's pretty cute.
8  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Some cross stitch finishes on: January 26, 2010 10:11:57 PM
I just wanted to share some of my cross stitch finishes with you all.

I got the patterns for the first two off of the spritestitch.com forums and made the pattern for the last one myself. Hope you like them!

Link & Zelda (it's pretty small, about 2"x2", made for my boyfriend to put in his cubicle at work)

Baby Peach Bib (made for a friend who recently had a daughter)

Kon from Bleach (really made for no reason other then boredom, but it ended up becoming a holiday gift)
9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Some earrings I put together today on: January 26, 2010 10:01:28 PM
I'm pretty new to the message boards but I wanted to post some earrings I just finished:

I'm don't have the best photography equipment (or lighting in my apartment really) obviously.
I hope you like them! Smiley
10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / First time poster - some perler/fuse bead creations on: January 26, 2010 08:39:31 PM
I hope I'm posting this in the right forum, please forgive me if not! Smiley

Hi, I'm Emily and I'm addicted to crafting. I never used perler beads as a child and after my boyfriend suggested it to me as a way to kill time, I fell in love. Here are some I've turned into magnets (mostly anime/video game related):

Shampoo from Ranma 1/2

The Prince from Katamari Damacy

Mistress 9 from Sailor Moon

Keroro from Sgt. Frog

Belldandy from Ah! My Goddess

I have some more in my galleries but I thought I would share my favorites with you. I hope you enjoy!
