1  Bridesmaids Request Puzzle Cards in Weddings and Bridal Showers by emuko on: June 05, 2010 04:49:24 PM
My fiance and I finally set a date. We made if a while away (almost 2 years haha) but I'm really glad because (being a crafty chick) I want to do a lot of it myself, and this will give me ample time.
I had this idea for my save the dates originally, but realizing I would have to make 100+ of them was pretty intimidating. I was still dying to incorporate this idea somewhere and this is what I came up with:

I'm so excited and how it came out. It says bridal party because I'm planning to 2 bridesmen as well  (and emu has been my nickname since I was 15). Smiley
Our colors are bright pink and green and we plan on using cherry blossoms.

@ruby - Here is a slightly better picture of tuxedo mask (pre-ironing), but if you want the pattern, let me know, I can send it to you!

Also I'm so jealous of that coloring book!!!
And I love the starlights, that needle book is great!

I decided to post what I sent jedimindcrafter after seeing all the perler bead fun. Smiley Hope she doesn't mind.

There is a keychain of Sailor Mars in a swimsuit, a card/sticker of Moon, Mercury and Mars,  perler bead Tuxedo Mask,  a note on some old Sailor Moon stationery I had from aaaages ago, and a bottle cap necklace w/ the cover of one of the first soundtracks in it (in resin).
I didn't get a picture of the pocky, lychee gummies, or Japanese sour candies.

I had so much fun with this swap. I hope she can get some better pictures since I only thought to take this one right before I packed everything up.

I received!
The pictures aren't the best quality, but you get the idea. Smiley
jedimindcrafter made me this ADORABLE tote bag:

With Usagi (Serena) and Mamoru (Darien) on it (the strap says "True Love").
....and it's reversible!

With Sailor Jupiter! The side says "You want trouble pal, you're lookin at it".

SO CUTE. I can't wait to use it. Thank you again!

I am so excited for the summer swap.

...and yes, that is Sailor Mars in the background. It's a cross stitch I've been working on for a friend's bday present.

I'm actually about 3 weeks into the little mojo Sailor Mars pattern! I took a little time off so maybe this would help me stay on track as well lol. Smiley

6  Mega Man Bracelet (my first time using a bead loom!) in Beads: Completed Projects by emuko on: April 19, 2010 06:40:10 PM
I picked up a bead loom on sale a few weeks ago and decided to give it a try. It took a little while to get the hang of, but I absolutely love it now!
Here is my first (nerdy, of course) creation:

I'm still unsure as to how I want it to clasp. Any ideas (or c & c) is welcome! Smiley

7  Cross Stitch Bulbasaur (on waste canvas) in Needlework: Completed Projects by emuko on: March 21, 2010 08:24:25 PM
My fiance and I are going to be in a Pokemon pub crawl in Boston next weekend, and I had just seen some waste canvas on sale at work so I thought I'd stitch something up for us. I would've loved to do full costumes, but I wasn't thrilled about the idea of traveling with them.
We're on Team Bulbasaus, so I found some Bulbasaur sprites and put this on our shirts:

The picture is a little blurry, but I love the way they came out (especially since this was my first time using waste canvas!).

8  Perler/Fuse Bead Sailor Moon in Completed Projects by emuko on: March 15, 2010 07:17:41 AM
I never know exactly where to put my perler bead projects, so I figured the miscellaneous board was a good bet. Smiley
I've been on a cross stitch kick lately but had an urge to pull out my perler beads over the weekend and ended up with this:

She came out to be about 2 feet tall! I hung her on the wall and I think I may attempt the other scouts over the next few months and maybe have a wall with all of them eventually. Smiley

9  Re: Sailor Moon Warm-Up Swap (sign-up til Mar 21, send out Apr 21) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by emuko on: March 14, 2010 10:38:41 AM
This isn't a great picture, but here is a Sailor Moon project I finished yesterday!

I never know which forum to put perler beads in and I figured most people reading this thread would appreciate it. Smiley

10  Re: Art Journal Page Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by emuko on: March 09, 2010 07:58:01 PM
I received my package from Juliska and took some pictures today. I love everything!!

The extras (I was happy to see these, I'm not a paper crafter at all so my stash is pretty small):

Some different types of papers (origami, recycled [did you make them yourself?!], etc.):

Some great postcards (I don't know why my phone inverted the picture):

Some kitty and puppy pages (I'm a sucker for cute animals):

And on to the page!:

It's SO cute! I love the kitty!!

And the story is removable to reveal an English translation!:

I had so much fun with my first swap! Thanks for being my partner Juliska!!!
