1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Cards and Envelopes for my deployed boyfriend - snarky? sarcastic? PIC CHUBBY! on: November 18, 2011 10:03:29 PM
As I mentioned in my other post, my boyfriend is currently deployed, and loooooves homemade crafty stuff, so I try to make cute little things to send him.  However, my style is less mushy and... let's say... snarky? So, Hallmark cards these are not...

The "Homemade with Love" stamp I put on everything, as well as the little "DP <3 TL" (our initials)

Set of cards and envelopes I made, from a set of blanks I bought at Michaels.  Super easy, but I love the white ink on the black cardstock!

And, my favorite, this set of 3 with vintage style... I  just love the incongruity between the sweet, old-fashioned images and the not-so-sweet or vintage text.

(if it's too small to read, it says "I'd date you so hard, then marry the shit out of you.")

("from the first time I saw you, I knew I was going to have real and/or imaginary sex with you.")

("I miss you.  I feel like peanut butter without the jelly, bread without the butter, crack without the pipe."

And the envelopes I made

[Disclaimer: A lot of the sayings aren't mind, I got them from various locations and card sites around the 'net.]
2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / First post: "108 Reasons I love you" PIC OBESE! (similar to the 52 cards books) on: November 10, 2011 11:52:32 AM
My boyfriend is deployed, and to cheer him up I wanted to make him something special...and this book was born.  Like every other craft, I VASTLY underestimated how much time it would take (and money, cuz I'm not all that creative so I bought a lot of embellishments instead of making them).  I started with the goal of 100, but then I thought of 116 reasons, but then I got tired of making it at around the 105 mark so I cut it down to 108.  BUT - he absolutely loved it.  Like, a lot.  Like, a lot a lot.  Anyway, without further ado, here is "108 Reasons I Love You"....

These are some of my favorite pages, either because I like the page visually or the text makes me smile Smiley
[Some of the "reasons" are ones that I found on the internet that I thought really fit him, but I can't remember where I got them from, so if any of them were from one of your projects - thank you!]

Thanks for looking Smiley
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / So, I have this cool piece of glass... on: September 06, 2009 10:08:38 PM
...and cannot think of anything to do with it!

Sorry about the links - too new, so Craftster won't let me post pics themselves.

It's from the light fixture in the bathroom - when the landlord changed the light fixture, they left this piece here, and rather than throw it out (well, recycle it), I want to do something neat with it.

Soooooo any suggestions?  I'm a long time lurker, first time poster, so I know how creative this place is!

Oh, and it's about 24.5"wide by 6.5" tall.
