Hamburger stew with sweet potatoes, because we are out of carrots but have about 15 pounds of sweet potatoes.  Wink
ROTTENLITTLEBOYS Mind if I ask what you put in your hamberger stew? I am always looking for new crockpot & stovetop recipies, & I LOVE sweet potatoes.

I did a big shop @ grocery store & farmers market today. =) I have Bananas, mango, green & red seedless grapes & strawberries all chopped & in bags in freezer. (great for smoothies, fruit sundaes or parfaits.) I bought a huge bag of boneless skinless chicken thighs & breasts. I broke those down into 3 serving bags, different sauces in the bags.
Lunch today was wraps (a tortilla spread with cream cheese, (I whipped it with sea salt, cracked pepper & parsely) shredded carrot, chopped granny smith apple & shredded grilled chicken), strawberries & mango, baby carrots.
Dinner will be grilled steak & potatos (marrinating in italian dressing in fridge), salad of baby spinach, maderin oranges & almonds with a dressing or soy, sesame seed oil & lime juice.  I have a coupon for Cold Stone, so that will be dessert later.

Today is clean out the fridge day. Farmers markeyt & grocery store tomorrow.
Lunch today was corn chips & salsa (homemade with the last cherry tomatoes, grape tomatoes, grilled corn & green peppers from fridge.) with freind rice from the other night.
Dinner will be chicken salad made from grilled chicken last night. Baby carrots & grilled corn.  Dessert will be "fruit sundays" (chopped up fresh fruit, topped with a dallop of vanilla yogurt. also a fruit sauce made of oj & frozen fruit in blender.)

I had my neice & nephew the other day & they requested Peanut buter subs.... I forgot about those.

1 slice squish white bread (wonder, store brand etc) or 1 hot dog roll. spread bread with peanut butter. sprinkle with crumbled corn flakes or rasin bran. slice a banana in half lengthwise  if using bread lay banana down diagonaly across bread  or on hot dog roll. cheap & filling.  We didn't have them very often, but once in a while, for lunch with a glass of milk.

Another one my neice reminded me of, a sandwich spread my Mom would make, really good on wraps too!! for each person use 1 hard boiled egg, 2 tablespons chick peas (chi chi beans), a little shredded (grated) carrot, a little mayo, a little mustard, a little sweet pickle relish. salt & pepper. mash the chick peas a little with the back of a spoon or fork. Rough chop egg into bowl add everything else to taste, start slow esp w mayo & mustard.    Now when I make it I will add different spices, very good with cumin & or curry. Also I like to add chopped black olives & shredded broccoli "trunks".

My Gram worked as an inspector, inturpetor & liazon between the migrant workers 7 the farm oweners in our area so we always had lots of fresh produce. My Mom would strech fresh frut & veggies as much as she could.
Broccoli & cawliflower the florets would be steamed or put in to mac & cheese, the stems "trunks" shredded & tossed in a bag in freezer... she added it to everything. Same with shredded carrots (man I hatted shredding carrots when I was a kid, we did it all by hand)

May I ask, how did oyu make the patterns?? outline a print out of a picture?

I love them!! Every time I watch that show I want to make a God's Eye, that's what we called them, there is one on the wall I think outside the batroom door?? The 2 sticks wit the yarn wrapped around in a diamond pattern.

 Wink Thank you ladies. Lunch was veery good on friday. The concert was alot of fun too. I took my 14 yr old neice, was her first concert. She loved it, she even caught a drum stick they threw into crowd!
Friday night we had dinner at show, I had a chicken kabob, was good. =) Grilled chicken, carrot & potato with a Honey BBQ sauce. Amd a couple Mike's hard LimeAides filled out my fruit requirewment for the meal.  Shocked
Saturday I made wraps for dinner. Big flour tortillas spread with port winne cheese spread, turkey, chipped green & black olives & shredded carrot. Had those with the veggies pasta salad.  Green grapes, strawberies & plums were for dessert.
Sunday we got Chineese take out. Manderin Chicken & steammed dumplings.
Tonight will be grilled chiken breast (marinating now in italian dressing w extra garlic & lime juice) veggie pasta salad. Grilled zuccini wedges too.  Fruit for dessert. (have to see what we have left, prob grapes & bananas)  Have to go to fruit stand tomorrow morning.  =)
Hope everyone had a good weekend!!
We got alot of rain on Friday night late & on & off all day Sat. Sunday eve was perfect. We went to drive in. I had lots of "buttery" popcorn & milk duds.  My fav!!

~an apple cut in slices with a smear of peanut butter & some rasins would be a great snack or lunch.
~soy milk or rice milk & cereal for breakfast, snack or lunch
~chick peas, chopped green & or black oilves with italian dessing, or even add rice to make it a meal.
~shredded zuccini (very cheap right now) great in salads or taco or burrito fillings. Also great in scrambbled eggs or freid rice.  same goe4s for corn, esp if you have a way to grill it... grill several ears & freeze, after you cut it off the cob, if you now have a freezer.
