51  Easy Peasy Slippers!!!- With pattern!!!! in Crochet: Completed Projects by Xbeautiful_disasterX on: June 25, 2010 02:01:21 PM
So a few nights ago I decided to make me a pair of slippers. I printed off a few patterns, popped in True Blood, and sat down to go to work. I got to the 3rd round of the first pattern and was completely confizzled. So I tried the next one...and got to about round 5 when I threw it away and pulled my work apart and made my own! When I got done I thought to myself "I bet some happy hookers on crafster would enjoy these." They are really simple and are double crocheted in the round for the first half and then rows the rest. I wear a size 10 sometimes 9 1/2 and used an I hook but if you want smaller ones, then you can use a smaller hook. As a rule please don't sell my pattern! I don't care if you crochet your heart out and sell the slippers but don't sell my pattern! I want to put it in my crochet pattern book someday! Anywayz on to the pics and pattern!

Max approves lol

I embroidered a little skull to sew on the side. I just cut the shape out of felt and put a lil stuffing in him and sewed him on.

I hook
WW yarn
WW yarn for trim
2 stitch markers

Notes: The first half of the slipper will be rnds (like amigurumi) then you will switch to rows for the rest. Gauge isn't really important, but try to crochet loosely so you'll have more stretch. When you get to the trim, you'll have to crochet loosely so it doesn't get to tight.
Magic ring 6
Rnd 1: 2 dc around (12)
Rnd 2-3: *1 dc in next st, 2 dc in next*(18 at end of rnd 2, 26 at end of rnd 3)
Rnd 4: dc around (26)
Rnd 5: *1 dc in next st, 2 dc in next* (36)
Rnds 6-9: dc around (36)
Now you will switch to rows, going back and forth without ch 1. Just dc in the st with the hook in it when you turn. If you can make your rows even with ch 1 when turning, then do that but for some reason i cant keep mine even if i do.
Row 10: Count 24 stitches from you marker and mark off with other marker. DC threw them, turn at 24th st.
Row 11-16: dc across, turn(24)
Row 17: invisible decrease every other stitch (I used a invisible decrease with single crochet, and then dc next stitch, then invisible decrease with single, then dc next, ect. and i hate to say it but i lost track of how many stitches here. lol )
Row 18: invisible decrease around
Row 19: Slip stitch or whip stitch to make the heel part. It should have a V shape and you just sew it up and tada!. FO weave in ends.

Ch 20
Row 1: turn and dc in first chain
Fo. weave in ends

To line the slippers loosely sc around slipper opening and around the strap.

Sew strap to slipper, weave in all ends.

Hope you like them!!!!

So I finally tried one of Wolfdreamer's patterns! My lil Mario and mushroom turned out really good! I'm so proud! Thank you so much for the patterns! I also bought the pahrinia plant pattern from etsy, but for the life of me I cant remember her name....but I know she post on crafster so I'm hoping she'll see it and post her name and a link to where you can buy her pattern. It was really fun to make!

Eventually I want to make the whole gang. I was working on Bowser...but I got side tracked and started bunches of other stuff so when I finish him Ill post the pattern, I already started writing it lol

57  Re: Alas poor Yorick! **now with a pattern!!** in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by Xbeautiful_disasterX on: August 30, 2009 03:42:05 PM
I loved this pattern so much! thank you thank you thank you! I made two and I loved them so much that I had to go all out and make them bodies  Grin I havent completly finished Mrs.Bonejangles, she's lacking a veil but when i get her done ill put up another pic. If you want to know how i did the bodies I started with pipecleaners and made a stick figure from them, then i crochet a triangle for the base of both outfits and then crochet around the triangle till I had a big enough "shirt" then crocheted down to make it longer, then I chained to make the back and crocheted up (attaching it to the front of the shirt as i went) the arms and legs are just tubes, the shoes are magic circles folded in half, the hands are pipecleanrs, i made a circle at the end and twisted small cut pipecleanrs around the cricle. I winged the hat, i think i started with a magic circle. All the roses I made are from the spiderweb rose instructions on the post. But yeah, I kinda went nuts i was so excited to finally find a good skull pattern.  Grin
