2011  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Another round of Harry Potter? on: January 04, 2010 09:29:42 AM
Hey  everybody, I had a flash last night (while not sleeping due to pregnancy dizziness...) And I though about a theme that wasn't used yet.

I'm possitive that everyone is familiar with RPG. Also I propose that you could take a character you've already created or:
You create an alter-ego of yourself, one that has been a witch/wizard all his/her life. We could had questions to the survey and ask things like:
What is your job in the magic world?
What school did you attend/are you attending (if Hogwart, what House did you belong to?)
Do you have a special power?
Do you own a magical creature?
Are you a Quidditch fan, do you play?
Are you part of a organization, secret or not?
What is your linage?

And each partner sends stuff made for the character. So If I say I'm a Herbology teacher in Salem Institute I might get a new kind of a magical potted plant with a spellbook against some kind of dangerous weeds with a new pair of gloves with the crest of the school I teach in.

Anyone would be interested doing that? I think It could be real fun Smiley

Okay. Prepare for LOTS of pics because there's LOTS of stuff! ^___^

I've mentionned on my blog that my tree needed a skirt...

It didn't need much more for Karen to make me one! And it's RED! Cheesy

Look at the wonderfully made triple goddess painting!

For my Boyfriend:

Starbuck coffee (we only have Tim Horton's here) A new flavor we never tasted, yay!
The candy canes are getting eaten at a good rate, and the headache balm works like a charm! He had to use it on the 24 and said it was a really good relief Smiley

For Mariann (tough I could use it! Tongue)

I made one, but this one is SO much better! Mariann loved it right away!

Now, look at the wonderful stash!

There is:
Witch Hazel,
St.John's Wort,
Mugwort AND
White Sage.

Some of my favorite herbs and some new to me Smiley She said they can stay a long time in this little bag but no way! I need to buy some pretty jar for all those!

Can you imagine how good the package smelled when I opened it?

I've asked ornaments. I was heard!

Spirals with godess, in red Smiley I will surely keep one around all year long! And they are so easy to place on a tree!

Those are my favorite! again, I won't packed them away. They will go straight to my altar!

Gorgeous trees of life!

They are all polyclay, but it truly feels like leather! I've got 21 ornaments in total! O_O

an owl ornament. I love owls and I'm trying to figure out which totem they represent to me.

The sunny other side

Now this extra is for me to make some more brocoli to sell in my etsy shop, because I remarked that no ones was selling that vedgie in felt food, but I did figure a way to make some Smiley

Now that was me trying to get an action shot with this:

Glove doll! Mariann hugged it right away and I had to wait to take a pic Cheesy

Other "action" shot:

My tree, now fuller then ever! close up:

I love everything. my BF was glad/weird to get something from a stranger though he felt bad he didn't bought anything for you....
Mariann will play a lot with her stuff, too!

I had 7 persons enjoying to open the package with me Tongue Everything was wrapped in pretty paper and such Cheesy
I loved loved loved everything! yay!

(well, that's what we say in Qubec...)

I received! Yesterday!
And in my family we open gift the day before Christmas, so I got to open it in the same time then my other present ^____^ With all my family looking and saying! "Oh!! ..Wait... There's more!" and "Look! you didn't open that!" "..And that!" And my boyfriend said that he didn't understand why someone he didn't know didn't made him presents! But he loved everything Smiley And the balm was used on that evening Smiley

AND Mariann loved her stuff too!

No I feel bad I didn't wrap everything in pretty paper like my swappie did.

The pics are taken but I don't have the cable here so you all have to wait Sad

but I got: TONS of ornament. The prettiest Tripple goddesses ornament ever! A tripple goddess tree skirt, necklace, pendula, TONS and TONS of herb of all kind! The daughter got a really pretty doll and a wonderfull half apron and the BF got starbuck coffee (we only have Tim hortons here) and a headache balm (peppermint and lavender) He used it and says it helps a lot! and he got candy canes too.
I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff but I've got to go and I wish you all Joyeux Nol again!
