171  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / The Aeris Plate (final fantasy 7) on: February 21, 2010 12:36:33 PM
I love when my best ideas come to me out of no where which is how this got born, My husband (the gamer *sigh*) loves anything to do with the final fantasy series and this is one of his favourite characters. I have recently got a bit of a thing for working on plates (I have no clue how that started!!) so decided to go for this... Its simple but I love expecially the 3d bits and the quotes from the game...

172  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / My first (and unfinished) altered book/journal on: February 21, 2010 12:32:45 PM
Hi all,

I have been lurking a while and loving all the altered journals that people are doing, so I finally got the courage to start one myself... its pretty basic but I'm hoping that as I go along I will pick up new techniques and ideas...

my first page had to be about dreams as hopefully I am about to qualify this year after 4 years of study!!

I dont really know where this page came from... I spent a lot of today thinking about my dad who loves paisley... so I guess hes the inspiration for today Smiley[url]

I think they are cute as they are but you could use them as a base and make photo cubes with your fave photos maybe? Or you could spray paint them to your decor and spell out something of meaning to you like home, or your name?

WOW I love what you made and the thought that went into them, we dont have dollar stores in the uk but the 1 shop is probably the equivalent... you've inspired me to want to run down there and see what I can make Smiley

176  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / ATC/Dominoes HP and Coraline on: September 02, 2009 02:23:30 PM
Hi all,

Am a relatively new member (so not sure if posting in right area apologies if not) and have been watching some of you wonderful people alter dominoes and fancied giving it a try myself but worried about working on such a small surface area, I cant draw and I cant work in small spaces (YET!) Well I was in the local charity shop and they had large dominoes (much more manageable for me) and after much lurking on board saw that people themed their work to their likes. (why this never occured to me before is beyond me) So here is a few piccys of my giant dominoes altered to the themes of Harry Potter and Coraline which I love both equally for different reasons! It took me forever to work out how to change my background and in the end opted for tissue paper and lots of glue, I love how the tissue paper runs into the other colours when wet. For the HP my hubby spoilt me with the sticker album but I had swapsys which I used for the dominoes and the Coraline involved scouring the net and cutting the buttons of said hubbys shirts... (he hasnt realised this yes but expect a crafting hiatus when he does!!) and here is the finished result... I LOVE them but I am biased Smiley

20 When the children declutter their bedrooms for oncoming birthdays or christmas. Check discarded board games with pieces missing (use the pieces left) or doll accessories that child has grown out of... (my daughter grew out of barbie and I've never been so pleased as I wanted all of her shoes for a project!)
