I can't tell you how many time we read little red riding hood book. My daughter know words by her heart. I decided to make her a red riding hood costume. No pattern for dress, just eyeballing. I used pattern (making a hood was kinda rough for me...) for red cape from internet. Adjusted the straps, hem the skirt. Added the fake white apron. Lucky she still have white turtleneck shirt and a pair of black shoes to go with it. Only costed me $13.67 for the fabrics. Super happy that it did not break my bank!

3  1950s Wrapping Blouse in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by PoorKnitter on: July 24, 2013 01:18:29 AM
While surfing the internet, I came upon to this awesome picture. I can't find pattern for this one. It is easy to make. By looking at it, you really don't need the tutorial for this one. I made my own pattern similar to this.

I used one yard fabric for the top, plus 1/2 half yard for the straps.

Took me a hour to complete it. I have black circle skirt that will look good with this top. Voila!

I am a long time lurker, it's time for me to come out the shell  Grin

I'm a HUGE fan of Mad Men. I have been drooling over the fashions. I found the fabric from Hobby Lobby on sale. Butterflies and color black are my favorite.....perfect combine! I attracted the petticoat to make it look puffy. It is my second attempt, I'm pleased with this!
