I received my first card today.

It says: I don't want to be friends anymore, but I don't know how to survive without my only friend.

That's sad. I hope you can talk this over with your friend. Maybe your friend isn't that bad. But if he/she is I wish you luck in finding a new better one.

P.S. I received another postcard today. I looked all over it to find secrets but it turned out to be a card from my boyfriends grandparents that are visiting Denmark. Roll Eyes

I received a megacute package from Glamis a couple of days ago. Sadly enough my camera refuses to work for very long (with the new batteries it doesn't work at all... o_O) so I couldn't spam a whole lot of pictures and choose the best ones.

But here come the goods!

Firstly a card with a picture of my boyfriend at work on it. I still wonder where did she get it. Though for a monster swap that is creepy enough. Wink

Then a monster box. Eye catcher for jealous visitors, muhahaha. Smiley This is now my box for all my little boxes.

A catbus picture from Totoro. (I am a big studio Ghibli fan.)

A Calcifer bracelet (from the Howl's Moving Castle). I am very happy for the Ghibli things. I am wearing this bracelet even now. Smiley Thank you!

And a Cthulu pouch. The cute winged back and not a good picture of the awesome front.

It was meant to be a crayon pouch but it turned out too small. You know what? It is the perfect size for my small button collection. Smiley

Also in the package were also villainous playmice from outer space. But they are gone now. We were brave and annihilated them in the yummiest way - grabbing by their tails and ... (my mouth is too full to speak).

Thank You! Meow!

I have received an awesome package from hawkeyes_girl on Saturday evening.

An awesome paintbrush roll that I immediately filled with brushes and paper knives that just used to lie in my craftbox. No more digging for tools, yaay!

The group shot of the goodies:

On the left are four magnets with the kitty theme. I was impressed that hawkeyes_girl made one with the poster of "Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!". I just mentioned by he way that I joined this swap because I love the movie and voila! - it's on my fridge now. Smiley A lovely self-made polka dot card in Dutch! I didn't expect that. She even translated what she wanted to say. A golden necklace (this one was weird.). When we received the package there was a teaser hanging out of it and that was a half of the necklace. I don't know if anything is missing... A magazine with yummy recipes and tips on how to get rid of extra weight. Cheesy Laminated playing cards ("Memory" game). My boyfriend said that these are for him since if they were for me there would be half naked guys on them. Cheesy And stickers of swallows & flowers. Oh, the feet on the left... I had such slippers in my wist. (I dislike slippers, I like to hang around in socks so it seemed a nice idea how to wear slippers but still feel like these are socks.) When I took them out of the package they looked so small and I was wondering if they are going to fit my troll sized feet. It turned out that they are a bit too big for me. So my boyfriend claimed them as well. He is posing in the picture too. Cheesy

The goodies don't stop here yet.

That is an awesome 40ies style headgear. Needless to say my boyfriend managed to try that one too. And his verdict was that is super handy for baking. (He has long hair so he wears a ponytail while baking.) But I managed to cunningly fight back and said that I want to pose with this one. So we tried to make supercute pictures with me wearing this headdress and holding our cat. But ALL the pictures looked ended up with me either looking like a cat torturing criminal or the cat pawns sliding inside my blouse... At least this one ended up nice.

Oh and there were yummy extras - jelly beans, chewing gum and peanut butter chocolate candies. Since my boyfriend is a chocolate addict he didn't hesitate to try the chocolate ones. After eating half of the candy he said that they taste awful. I completely disagree with him on this. So yaay finally I had my own candies that I don't have to hide from him. He also said that he doesn't like American candies in general. But you can't believe him. He said that with his mouth full of jelly beans. No photos of yummies. That is a proof that they are yummy. Cheesy

Thank you very, very much!

I am sending out tomorrow morning.

Edited (Something was wrong with the pictures)

7  Monster Poster in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by izkapts on: May 03, 2010 07:20:36 AM
On 30th of April in the Netherlands is the Queens day. And there is a traditional 'flee market' on different places of the country where people sell selfmade things or things they don't need anymore. A couple of months ago me and my boyfriend had an idea to sell selfmade buns. About 2 hours before going out we remembered that we need a poster to attract customers. So it was decided that I do that. The trick was my boyfriend wanted a big and attractive poster. And I didn't have much time. So I used the back of an old poster. I had a quite big tube of white tempera but the black one had managed to dry out. All other supplies weren't enough for such big poster. So I somehow managed to revive the black one with a bit of water. + I have never been good at drawing letters especially when U have so little time. And I had no idea what to make. So I painted the light brown board white and let it dry for 15 minutes. Since I had the monster swap in my mind this is what was created -

It says "Tasty buns" in Dutch. Not very neat, I admit. But it is huge and was made in a hurry and the price had to be changed etc. Anyways it was fun to make. And some people get attracted to buy the buns because of the poster. Cheesy

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand I have received a lovely, lovely, lovely (yes that is 3x times lovely) package from pinkmichk today. She had chosen my Aztec theme.

First, here's a perfect cookie safe package.

None of the goods were damaged. And with goods I mean these:

A pencil sack (that I needed, I wonder how she guessed that  Roll Eyes ) and yummies. I had to fight a bit with my boyfriend over them since the amount visible is enough for me for a week or two and about for 10minutes for my boyfriend. But it all ended up very well, we each got our share.

But that is not it. Inside the pencil sack were the cutest little things. A bracet, a necklace and someting we had discussions about. Please ignore the curiosity of my cat...

They're lovely, especially I like the pink&red bracelet.

But the question still remains. What is this?

Please, ignore the blurry picture. It's just I think that is a scarf pin and I was about to use it as that but my boyfriend didn't believe and said that must be something else.

Not to take the credit - the finger puppets were bought on Ikea. It's just I saw some very similar in pinkmichk Wists and so they went to her.

Here's a picture of how the cookies should have looked like -

10  Scrunchies from old panties in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by izkapts on: April 02, 2010 06:35:38 AM
I used to make cat toys from old panties but since my cats favorite brand of the dry cat food offered a toy mouse for free with every package my house is full with these mice. But still my fingers were itching to make something from them. So I was fooling around and in less than 10minutes I made a scrunchy from an elastic of panties and a little piece of leftover velvet. My boyfriend was so excited of the fact that it's made from my panties that he quickly grabbed it and put it in his hair. So I made another one (In less than a minute) made only from a blue/black elastic for his beard.
