Of course Futurama has a Sewing Machine Jesus. Duh!

HELP! Someone, please, PM me and help me right now. I have my list and I'm checking it but I need to know if I've made enough. I don't feel like I have. I need an opinion! Please?

I made some. They are about an inch big. I should grease the pan next time, which will be soon. I also need to figure out how to not make the back sides ugly. Maybe foil the pan then grease it? We'll see. I'll show you later.

PJ94, There is a whole thread about about Craftster Picture Hosting.

I can't wait! I have my entry all ready and done and I was going to post it as it's own thread in the forums but I know we're not supposed to double post projects so I'm waiting until I can enter it here. Kind of glad I didn't finish last week and already post it.

I'll be sending tomarrow, too.  I am "done" because sadly I killed my sewing machine last night when I was working on a gift for my granddaughter.  It has an all-plastic caseing and is a Husquevarna, and no visible way to get into it to check, unless I take it apart at the bottom, which I am reluctant to attempt. Autopsies are not my "thing".    But it just makes a whirr--rr--rr noise, so I'm pretty sure I broke an internal belt.

Funeral services will be announced later.  The family requests no flowers, but would not object to cash donations!

Just kidding.  Maybe.  Need my address?
We can have a double service for mine that died in the car wreck. straight impaled through it!
I think we'd need Jesus for that one, not a doctor. Well, a sewing machine Jesus. Would he be human or mechanical? Am I confused?

You know, Margie, they have doctors for that kind of thing. I don't know how much they cost but maybe I should check into it for a check up on my machines after the holiday.

The stocking is finally cut out! I just need to figure out embellishments otherwise it will look naked. I am just having issues with my inertia today. Once I get going I'll be fine I just keep starting and then sputtering. Too many things I need to remember. I should make a list. *gasp*

And look what I found via SMS today: a fabric gift pouch tutorial that I wish I had 2 weeks ago! I think I may make some today, some for the stocking and some just for the hell of it. We'll see. I am crunched on time for this and I want to send tomorrow before my doctor's appointment. I really don't want to send late. On the SO date is bad enough!

You know, Susanab sure talks a lot of smack about herself. She is always saying how much she doesn't get along with her sewing machine and stuff. Man, she is wrong. I am always impressed with what she comes up with and look forward to seeing her sent packages a lot. You hear that, Susanab, YOU'RE PRETTY AWESOME.

Also, the non-terrycloth side of the washcloths I received I think are flannel. I know someone asked. I'm pretty sure she made them the same way you would a regular Ninni but instead of stuffing it she top stitched around the edges. The kids love them so much they haven't made them into the bathtub yet!

And thank you, Leslie. I like to think they are beautiful as well, but I never know when I am being biased.

Also, that guy in the "Local Legends" Ad on the right of my screen is really bugging me. His face is very asymmetrical. His ears are different shapes, sizes, and in different positions on his head! Holy Crap! OCD! OCD! They shouldn't put a face like that on an ad on a site like this.
2477  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Assassins Creed? Hells Yeah! on: November 29, 2011 07:12:32 PM
You guys are all so sweet. Thank you very much. I love French knots! I don't know why everyone hates them so much. Yeah, using them as a fill takes forever but for accents they are super easy and add so much punch. As a fill they have so much texture and depth! My husband loves them too which is good because, you know, Christmas...

As for the partner thing, you guys are sweet there too. I don't want to drag up the past but I will say I almost quit Cster because of her, or at least swapping, but then I decided I'm better than that and it actually encouraged me to post more of my projects, like this one! So it's not all bad, eh?

The short story of how this came to be:
My partner in the Video Game Swap this summer dropped after telling me I am a horrible mother (because I stay at home) and my crafts suck so she wouldn't want to swap with me anyway.
But I had already planned this hoop! So I made it for my husband instead. He would appreciate it more than her snotty 12 year old anyway.
Wanted to follow along with the swap and have it done before the SO just because and surprise him with it but then my kids showed him the WIP and that killed it for me so I dropped it for a while but decided I really need to clean out my WIP bucket so I finished it in time for Cmas. Would have been cooler if I had it in time for the release of the new game a couple weeks ago but what's a girl to do? Cmas works just fine around here.

100% French knots, which is funny because in the second game with Ezio (so the 3rd game all together) the French are some of the bad guys.

Close up! I would generally have stitched something on the felt I glued on the back but since I included this J <3 G I decided to just leave the felt on the back alone. It will hang more evenly from my experience.

What do you think?

Be prepared to be amazed at the wonderfulness of first time swapper Franknhurter! I received over a week ago but just opened it Sunday night and am now just getting around to opening it. Garsh, what a horrible swapper I was to pair with a virgin this round. I haven't started yet but I am making something today with the kids that will hopefully go into her box and then I'll start rolling. Anyway, on to the pictures of goodness!

Here it is all wrapped up. Even a treat for the kitty!

She sent a washcloth for each of the kids. A NINNI washcloth! I promise Alice is not stoned. That is just the best picture I could get of the both of them. You guys know how kids photograph.

Terrycloth side of the washcloths and the cat toy that is stuffed with Nip. It's funny, Nip turns my Eddie into a love machine so with wanting to play with the feathers while wanting to be a lover I think this has her confused.

And the grand finale:

My Winter Ninni! Yay! He is too cute. I love him. I am so ready to bust out the proper seasonal decor now.Yay!

Thank you sweet partner! I can tell you are going to be great in future swaps. Welcome to the family!
