1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / A few Christmas presents so far... on: December 09, 2009 09:23:05 PM
Still have a ways to go!

Here's a hat for my cousin.
Pattern: http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/cwe-earflapHat.html

An adjustable cowl thingy for my sister.
Here's the link to the pattern, but it doesn't seem to be working  Lips sealed

And a bunny...I was gonna give it to my cousin, but I'm not too pleased with how it came out (I'm terrible at sewing limbs together for amigurumi!)

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Mittens (for humans, not kittens) on: October 18, 2009 11:54:55 PM
Here's my first pair of mittens, hooray!

(The hat was knit, but it has a crochet border...link to that thread is here: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=324873.0 )

I used this pattern: http://www.bernat.com/pattern.php?PID=2350&cps=21191
but I started decreasing earlier and made it more pointed.

These were fun to make, it's cool to see a project just come together before your eyes!

Ok, here's a kitten:

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / My first knit hat! :D on: October 18, 2009 11:42:48 PM
Getting started on Christmas presents, yay!

I made this hat for my stepdad/to play with my new circular needles.

My first row was a bit loose, and it ended up being a bit short, even after I blocked, so I did two rows of single crochet as a border.

It was my first project on circular/double point needles, so it's kinda plain, but you gotta start somewhere!
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Short Scarf! (In Texas. In August.) on: August 24, 2009 07:00:57 PM
I'm pretty bad at finishing projects, and I just got into knitting, so I made this plain ol' scarf to get me into the swing of things.

Since it was more of a practice project, I just used one skein, so it's only 5" wide and a little less than 4'.  I'll be sending it to my boyfriend in England...he'll get a proper one when he visits this Christmas Grin

Close up!  I used an 80/20 wool/acrylic blend.

Overall, I'm pretty pleased...thanks for reading =]
