When I got a copy of Amigurumi two , the first project that caught my eye were the toys in pajamas.

I made the big one first and then decided she needed a little bear pal. The directions call to sew the ears to the head over the hood.
I did it that way but the next few bears I made were for kids so I figured I had better make the hood with holes for the ears.

My neighbor saw the first bear I made and asked if I would make 10 for a charity she is involved in where they pack a shoe box full of toys and things and send them to kids all over the world. I made 10 animals, some bears and some bunnies. I tried to make them all unique and adorable.

These are so adorable. I have a feeling I am going to be making a few of these. I love the little pompoms on the hats and the ear flaps are sooooo cute.
6  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Penguins!!!!!!!!!! on: October 14, 2009 12:39:08 PM
I made this little guy for my husband.
.
He searched online and found a pic he liked of a felt penguin so I made something up from a bear pattern I've been making a lot of. He loves him.

And then he decided we needed penguin Christmas tree ornaments.

So I made some. They were pretty easy to make. I just sort of made them up as I went.
Still have to make a few more and decide if I should make some sort of loop to hang them from the tree or just nestle them in the branches.
Thoughts, comments or sugestions would be welcome.

My daughter got me hooked on amigurumi and now she insists I show a few off.

I used the cupcake pattern from Amigurumi two, the cookie (a pillow I made for my nephew to throw at my sister) is a bit larger than anything in the book so I just had to wing it. The little pie was made by my daughter.

The little cupcake really like the big cookie.....

..and so does my daughter.
