21  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Moose Antler Pillows on: December 28, 2011 10:26:35 PM
Everyone is aware that Christmas is that time of the year when homemade gifts. So of course I was among many craftster members who made the gift.
My boyfriend's dad likes moose. Like is probably not a strong enough word. There are more then sixty moose in his living room. All year. Which lead to these moose antler pillows.  Grin

To give you an idea of size my boyfriend's arm is about 3 feet long.
22  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Sorcerer's Stone made from Paper on: November 11, 2011 06:39:54 PM
With the release of the last Harry Potter movie at midnight I got really HP inspired and ended up trying to make a sorcerer's stone. The problem was I had no clay or any other material I could think of to make it. So I took the one thing I had which was paper, paint, and that stuff that makes clay shiny (I can't remember what it's called) and made this.

(Sorry for the bad photos the good camera died)

23  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Monster Book of Monsters box on: October 24, 2011 06:55:52 AM
For the Back to Hogwarts 2 swap I made my partner this box based off this one that I found on her wists: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=297233.msg3385568;topicseen#msg3385568

Now here's my version. I named him fluffy

I painted the outside of the box brown then painted on the letters. I then cut out the fur and glued it on.

The teeth and the eyes. Believe or not this was my first time working with clay.

I'm curious to see if any craftsters would be interested in a swap all about the band Evanescence. After all their new album does come out in October.
25  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Corset without a pattern or measurments PLEASE HELP! on: July 30, 2011 07:29:52 PM
I hope someone can help me. For our one year anniversty my boyfriend and I are going to see Rocky Horror Picture Show and I want to make him Frank N Furter's (I don't know if I spelled it right) corset. The thing is I don't have his measurements and I don't have any kind of a pattern for this kind of corset.
26  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / I'm a craftster not a chemist! on: July 30, 2011 07:20:08 PM
So for mother's day I decided to take some family photos and make my mother a scrap book. Not just any old scrapbook though one made out of material. I bought a small thing of fabric glue because I wasn't sure how else to get the pictures on the fabric.

Big mistake.

Apparently the fabric glue and the chemicals used to develop the photos had a chemical reaction and my pictures got red spots on them. It was really bad with my sister's graduation present. The worst part is I didn't even know until I gave it to my mom.
27  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / How to explain swapping? on: July 17, 2011 11:05:49 PM
I'm looking for some advice here from Crafster's who have husbands and boyfriends or wives and girlfriends they live with. You see me and my boyfriend may move in together very soon and I wanna explain Swaps to him but I'm not really sure how to explain them. I tried once but he didn't really understand it. Can you tell me how you explained it to your other half?
