I recieved my package from Tabzilla today and it is AWESOME!  She is a fantastic crafter and crafted some wonderful items for me!

First up is a TARDIS cell phone charger that I had pinned to my Pinterest:

and one with my phone in it

Next up and equally fab are a pair of weeping angel etched glasses, one with the weeping angel pose and the other with the scary face!

Then she painted  the Vashta Nerada for me which has two of my fave things, skulls and the color green!

Last up is my all time fave...a weeping angel poppet, complete with magnets in her hands so she can cover her eyes or she can put her hands together!  Love it!

Fantastic package Tabzilla!  You are a great swap partner!

Everyone has recieved such fantastic crafts!  There sure is an awesome bunch in this swap!

Crafty_Cool:  I am super excited your package is on its way to you.  8 hours to go?  Hope the hours tick by fast!

I recieved my package from Crafty_Cool this evening and Wow did she make some great things!

First up is my super cool T-shirt, the front has "Keep Calm, We Have a Hulk!"  and the back has all of the avengers' symbols and "The Avengers" on the back.  She used fabric paint and fabric markers:

Then framed the end scene of Shawarma and on the wooden frame it has everyone's name.  To the upper left of the frame are some of the cute marvel Bandz that everyone is collecting.  Below that she made a beautiful bracelet with beads in each Avenger's colors, a button of the loverly Hawkeye,  an ornament made out of felt with Hawkeye's symbol on there which apparently I am casting too much of a shadow and you cant really see it very well, and there is also a magnet of Captain America's sheild.

All of these are wonderfully fantastic!  Thanks for being an awesome partner Crafty_Cool!

Project: Dollar store doll to weeping angel.

I saw this Weeping Angel a while back and thought, I am so doing that!  But I hadn't watched any of the Doctor Who's so I rented it.  Awesome.  I had a bit of an issue with the dollar store barbie as when I cut her hair close to the pony tail holder it came undone and showed that she only had a hairline, not a full head of hair.   Shocked

I do apolgize that she is nekkid.  I hadnt made her dress yet.

I also had trouble with my papier mache.  I bought some at the craft store and it just stayed lumpy so I just let it be.  LOL.  I continued to follow the instructions in the link above and then when she was dry I spray painted her with a metallic stone paint.

Better late than never.  I finally had a moment to post pics of the wonderful BoS that ShyLitleGoddess sent me.  I had all kinds of goodies in there like hand made soap, a cute Halloween card, incense, tea lights, a book mark, loose pages from a Chinese workbook to use as I see fit, star shaped pages with rings to have a mini star shaped BoS, and a fantastic book on crafty with recycled/upcycled objects.  Can't wait to try those.
Of course, her faboo Bos has hand embroidered tree with embellished leaves, owls and even a key.  She even gave me extra screws for when I add pages and she included pages of moon phases, runes and their meanings as well as tarot and the meanings of each cards!  Fantastic!

and last but not least the super awesome BoS:

Thanks again for being a fantastic swap partner!

As promised (apparently I wrote it in the sign up thread  Roll Eyes ) here are some of the pics that Squire_Inaria sent to me and MedusaLisa.  She really has some super mad crafting skills!  We were awed by the gifts she sent us. This will be a bit pic heavy.

First up the boxes that came:

Gifts for Lana included a super cool apron, monster bag and a tote/book bag  Cheesy :

Gifts for Lisa inlcude a fantastic parasol, marie antoinette charm bracelet and tote/bookbag:

My apron and book bag have beautiful green witchy fabric.  The apron says "where there is a Witch there is a Way!" I love that!!  The monster bag is made of green/black fun yarn.  Yes, I love green.  Lisa's book bag has red pirate fabric and her parasol (sorry dont have a good pic of that) is red lace with black fringe and ribbon.  It is gorgeous!  Lisa absolutely loves it!!

She also made me, Lisa and our Mom fantastically beautiful poppets.  I have a pic of mine, but not of Lisa's and Mom's is on her own camera.  Will post pics later of that if I can get photobucket to cooperate.  Squire_INaria, if you have pics of these, feel free to post those.
Here is my doll:
Also, because she knows we love our cats she made these kitty toys with catnip in it (the good kind, LOL):

Squire_Inaria is a fantastic crafter and a really good friend.  It has been a blast of a swap!  I hope we can do it again sometime!

7  Re: International Snack Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by LanaC on: July 08, 2010 03:34:32 PM
I recieved my package from Bunny of DOOM today!

The first pic is when I opened it and one of my cats was just as curious as I was to see what Bunny sent to me:

This one has Tiny Teddy chocolate cookies (?), Aero Bar, Flavored/Flavoured straws, Milo energy drink, 2 small jars of Kraft PB (1 crunchy, 1 smooth), Starburst Gummi Fruit, Twisties cheese snacks, Aeroplane Purple grape Jelly and Wizz Fizz (which I am not sure how to use):

This next one has a baggie of Wonka Redskins and Minties, a baggie of colored sticks, which I broke into and are VERY sugary, which I LOVE!, a tube of Vegemite, Smarties chocolate bar, Jaffas, Violet Crumble, TimTams, Wagon Wheels, caramello Koala and Cherry Ripe:

and the last pic has: Cheezels, Cadbury individual bars with furry friends on them and individual Nutella and of course my super cool snack belt that Bunny made me!  How cute is that.  I can snack and craft at the same time!

Now I had to try the vegemite of course and Bunny suggested buttered toast and a scrape of the Vegemite.  OMG it is salty. I had no idea.   Cheesy

All of the things in the box are items we don't have or I have never found out here in West Texas!  Thanks Bunny of DOOM!  I hope you like your package as much as I like mine!

8  First poppet in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by LanaC on: May 20, 2010 11:24:59 AM
This poppet was made by me and my sister using Ghile's pattern.  It is Medusa!

Her hair is made of black yarn and chenile stems for her "snakes."  Her body is made out of a white T shirt and the red dress is left over fabric she had in her stash.  She drew the face and painted it in with Sharpie markers as well as her fingernails and toenails.
