1  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Re: role of furniture in interior decoration on: February 14, 2010 09:08:23 PM
Role of furniture in interior decoration is too important. It should be compatible with other things like rugs, curtains, covers and wall colors. Too trendy furniture in old houses doesnt look good. Cane furniture brings natural look.
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Re: Ideas on how to decorate new office? on: February 14, 2010 09:05:37 PM
The furniture of the office should be purchased keeping in mind the theme/color of the carpet. To look more spacious, face to face cabins can be fabricated. Use of heights in the office also removes the limitations of floor space.
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: flexible glue for paper clothing on: October 22, 2009 08:39:34 PM
Washi and bamboo are not the only traditional materials being used in clothing. Jackets and pants made of a new material that is 70% polyester and 30% charcoal have also come up. The charcoal is pulverized, then mixed into a polyester solution to produce an exceptionally resilient, lustrous fabric that also reportedly has deodorizing properties. The merits of paper and bamboo for use in textile fibers are their breathability (ideal for Japan's humid summers), the ease of processing them into fabric, their high functionality, and their beauty.
4  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / Re: Homemade Armor Costume Question on: October 22, 2009 08:36:05 PM
I use thin cardstock rather than regular paper or cardboard. One popular and easy way to make a pattern is to put a plastic bag over your arm or leg, or wherever, and then wrap duct tape around it until it's form-fitting. Then you cut it to the width you want, and open it up. Most armor is made by cutting the patterned pieces you made (above) out of Craft Foam, WonderFlex, Fosshape, Sintra, etc ... and then heat-shaping the armor to bend around the arm or leg, etc. One of the issues here is that the materials are very hot when you're working with them, so you'll need to use gloves, etc.
5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: decorating a grave? on: October 22, 2009 08:31:35 PM
Besides artificial flower decoration, you have another option of putting some memorial quotes relates to her on a plate near the grave. These quotes will reflect your affection for your mother.
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / popular color among the tourists on: October 22, 2009 08:16:09 PM
I am going to decide the color for interior painting in my four start three room guest house located at Kerala. What is the most popular color among the tourists that come from Mexico and Canada?

Interior decoration is all about the concepts and the better use of space. You have done a good job indeed. A corner stand or cornice can be fixed in the corner near the pillar at about 3 and half ft height.

Good hand art. Praise worthy efforts. I think the back of the chair needs some more art work.

Thanks for sharing this useful technique. It is good not only for saving but also for developing the habit of using our money in the best possible way up to the last.

I like these house shape and generally made these from the waste that my children throws away after their usual craft work. I and my children feel emotionally attached with these figures.
