So, I started a quilt 3 years ago. the pieces are cut and I have been afraid to sew the squares together. It's kind of mod... red, yellow, brown, and teals. Squares, of course. Wanna finish it for me?Ha ha

Your raw edge circle quilt rocks!... so I hit this rocks!  Cheesy

7  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: My almost done craft room! on: May 16, 2009 10:58:49 PM
Ah! You're so lucky to have your own craft room! All of my craft stuff hides under beds, in closets, and in my bedroom in a 7 ft bookcase. And you're organized...that's important! Unlike myself...I am always digging through stuff making a mess just to find stuff with which to make a mess.

Anyway, as far as your budget and not purchasing paint... contact your local county recycling program. Many of them have reused/recycled paint for free. You just have to go and pick it up. They come in various colors from beige to the ugliest of pinks. Check out Freecycle and Craigslist, too, to see if anyone is willing to toss out their leftover project paints and supplies.

You have a bunch of craft paint it looks like. You could also freehand some stuff as a border or something along the wall.  Smiley

9  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: gift bows! (yet another way to recycle magazines) tutorial added and more pics on: January 10, 2009 07:07:39 PM
I was looking at Danny Seo's blog about how he *just* discovered Etsy and someone on Etsy was selling these bows for about $7 for a bag of 6.  They were absolutely beautiful and my fam knows I am a huge fan of reusing crap I find laying around (e.g. gift wrap consists of cereal boxes, scrap yarn, etc.).  *squeal* Now I can make BEAUTIFUL bows to stick on them and hide their ugliness!  Grin  I have these itty bitty scrapbooking brads I bought because they were a $1 and I had to have them for God knows what... do you think they'd work? I guess I can try... they're about 1/4" though.  Hmm.  I'll give it a go.  Thanks SO much for your photo tutorial.
