1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: repairing a brittany needle? on: July 26, 2005 12:07:48 PM
I've had a set of Brittany crochet hooks for years and have gotten wonderful customer service from them.  I prefer circs to knit so I don't own any of the knitting needles but I'm sure if you contact them they'll be willing to replace the needles:  www.brittanyneedles.com.  They have always been extremely helpful.  Good luck!
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Please help me identify this yarn on: May 17, 2005 06:00:17 PM
Hi!  Berroco made a yarn that had those little pom-poms on it.  It's called Bubble FX but it's discontinued.  If you go to their site www.berroco.com and search the discontinued yarns you can see it.  It looks just like the one in the scarf.  I knitted a scarf with it and 2 other yarns held together because it's really thin between the pom-poms.  It had the same effect as the one in your picture.
3  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Rogue along for FEB and beyond on: April 08, 2005 10:58:08 AM
Hi Everyone!  I'm contemplating starting Rogue.  I got the pattern and am trying to decide on yarn.  I read this whole tread and was wondering if anyone knew the address to the yahoo knit along.  I've been reading through the list of knitting groups and can't seem to find it.  I just want to see what they are doing too.  Thanks in advance!

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: help with clapotis on: March 18, 2005 04:59:42 PM
Hi!  There's a Yahoo Group started specifically for the Clapotis:  http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Clapotisknitalong2005.  They're very helpful there and everyone's
making the Clapotis.
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Movie Knits on: January 17, 2005 05:43:04 AM
While working on the Coronet I'm making (I l ove this pattern!)for my DH last night and watching "Now You See It" on the Disney channel with my 6 year old I noticed some great knits.  The main girl character, Allison something, was wearing a cute knitted hat and at another point she had on a great shawl held together with a funky pin.  I loved the shawl.  I think it's on again tonight at 8 and my daughter wants to watch it again because she fell asleep at 8:15 so maybe I'll catch some more knits.  I may tiVo it.
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Blue Baby Booties on: January 16, 2005 07:52:18 AM
I love them, they're beautiful!  If you're worried they won't stay on you could crochet a chain in the verigated or lt. blue and weave it around the top and then tie it loosely.  That way they'll stay on a bit better.  I know from my 2 that the little ones do tend to kick them off  Smiley
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Thoughts on Denise Interchangables? on: January 08, 2005 04:30:29 AM
I got mine for my birthday 2 years ago, fell in love and have been using them ever since.  They don't have 17 and 19 so I got Addis for that.   I took them on a trip to Vegas (from Boston) and didn't have any problem getting them on the plane either.  The plastic doesn't bother me and the tips are great like everyone else has said.  I have even called them and got more tips and cords because I tend to have a few different WIPs  Wink and get impatient.  You can order from them directly and the women that answer the phone are really nice.  I asked if they'd ever make the bigger tips and she told me it was really expensive to make the molds that make the needles.  The molds cost something like $50,000 and they couldn't do it just yet.  Maybe in the future but she didn't know when.  I've never used them as straights.  If you get them, enjoy!
