Jexx / nikschaf- Spinning with the sari was interesting. I've never done it before this. If it's clumped up in your batt, it doesn't really pull apart that well. So you get little knobbly bits. I'd say it's unrealistic to spin a thin, smooth yarn with sari. But if you like that texture, it is really fun to work with. (It also got ALL OVER my clothes, but with cats and a fiber addiction, that wasn't really anything new. lol)

I haven't posted to (or started!) a fiber friday in a long time!

I didn't check the yardage on this, but I spun it really thin and then chain plied it. It's roughly 2-3 ounces from a batt of merino and firestar.

Also haven't checked the yardage of this, but it's 3.3 ounces of black merino carded with a crap ton of sari silk and firestar. My first yarn with a ton of texture. LOVE IT!

I spun it pretty thick n' thin, I wasn't really paying attention to how it was drafting because I wanted it to be fun and carefree. I was watching tv the whole time. Mindless spinning, fun!

Not a single clue. I have a ton of handspun... not a lot of projects. lol I like spinning much more than I like knitting and crocheting. I might actually break this in half and ply them together. It's not a very strong yarn. :/

Holey Moley, 390 yards of... um... probably BFL. I'm not sure. lol My longest single yet.

Wee bit late, but to be fair, I didn't get home until 6 this morning. lol

Merino & Tencel, I believe it's 150 yards. I think this is going to turn into an elf hat for a baby.

Love the color of that yarn! I'm still working on the rainbow colored merino/tencel from last week. Been having some trouble with my hip that makes me feel like an old woman. lol

^Awesome thing is I never intended for them to BE coils, they just turned out that way. lol

60/30/10 Merino, bamboo, nylon in 'Sleeping Beauty' from Sheepish Creations on Etsy. 130 yards, fingering/lace weight. Hasn't been set yet so I haven't checked wpi.


My WIP this week. Merino/tencel This is SO. SOFT. Spinning it up really thin to hopefully get enough for a good 2 ply. Might ply it with some coordinating merino, I haven't decided yet.
