very cute! may i suggest some matching bloomer shorts underneath? my daughter LOVES to wear dresses but she's much to active to go without shorts or bloomers.

a mature image is like "for adult eyes only". as in an image that could be offensive.

hi all! i'm going to a wedding soon and decided i'd make my own dress. i was originally planning to do a cowl neck dress but while cutting i decided on something completely different. i must say, i do like. i may add more ruffles and maybe a belt. *ignore the 2 different shoes i have on in the pics.. couldn't decide what i liked best*

voila!  Grin

This could sell millions! It would even be helpful for those curious little just starting to walk and crawl tots it covers it simply but complicated enough for the kid to get bored with it fast enough to save your roll! I think this is fantastic and think even as a cute bathroom accessory is not a bad idea

exactly! my 1 year old thinks it's hilarious to stand in the bathroom and roll an entire roll of toilet paper off. grr. this is the perfect solution!

forget kittys, it's great for humans too!

thanks you guys!

the hubs got me those boots on an awesome sale last winter at emphasis. they are so great.

i took the in seam in. i haven't fully fixed the waist yet, but it works for now. i first laid a pair of jeans on top and was going to trace, but i decided that'd take too long so i put the jeans on inside out, sat on the floor and traced the excess with a sharpee.

my mom didn't have any jeans to fit her last winter so she cut the waistband on each side and added some elastic, since she always wears belts, you couldn't even tell it.. so maybe you could try something like that?

hello all you crafters! i haven't posted anything in a while.. as a matter of fact i haven't even made anything in a while. all my creativity has been mia.

but anywho. i don't have many clothes and i usually feel guilty buying myself stuff when i could buy my kids or my husband something. but i really really need fall and winter clothes. so, what did i do? i brought out trusty ol besty and got to sewing again!

i forgot to take before pictures.. maybe because i didn't know if it'd be success for or not. but i had a pair of jeans that were 3 sizes too big for me and one of my husbands old 2xl polo sweaters from his fat man days.

without further ado.. my new outfit!

i still have some finishing to do on the seams in the shoulders and such, but i'm fantastically happy with my outcome!
