21  Re: I Vant 2 Suck Ur Blood Swap (Sendout 4/25) in The Swap Gallery by TheArtsyRaven on: June 21, 2011 11:22:50 AM
I'm so slow at uploading pictures, has taken me over a month to add this Sad  Sorry to my partner but life has not gone slow by this last month.

I got a ghotic swap package from rantyhippie, this is what I got:
- painted True Blood lips
- paintet Lestat (love him)
- two wrist cuffs, one with red gems and the other typical gothic style Cheesy
- a lovely belt with a skull on the front Cheesy sadly it's broken at the jaw, but I can still wear it, but have to be careful not to pull in too tight.

Thank you

22  Re: One Tiny Stuffie Swap--Round 5 Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by TheArtsyRaven on: June 21, 2011 11:06:51 AM
I am really happy that Ruby Copperhead liked the kokeshi doll, it was a lot of fun to make, as well as a lot of frustration.

I am pretty slow at uploading pictures (may and half the June has been hectic) but here is my lovely stuffie Cheesy

I guess the Snape stuffie was an idea she had during our otHP swap, but I wanted a pygmy puff, not knowing I would get such an awesome Severus Snape stuffie.
The other two mini stuffies are an owl for my son, and a dragon for my fiance, both of them loved their tiny tiny stuffies Cheesy Snape is 12 cm tall, just above 4 1/2"

Well, life is pretty hectic sometimes, at least I'm finally able to upload my lovely items from sarahbug.
I got a wonderful mug, BIG as well Cheesy where she wrote in lovely neon pink 'I <3 Gilmore Girls' on one side, 'I'd rather be in Stars Hallows' on the back, and 'all you gotta do is call my name...and I'll be there' on the top Cheesy
She also sent me a travel mug so I could bring my coffee along with me, two potholders, which are perfect for my iron casserole Cheesy ANd a dishtowel with a dragonfly.
I also got some cookie dough bites, I think you all know their destiny Tongue

She was also kind to make me some accessories Cheesy a lovely rosette necklace and a pair of cute earrings, both been work

Can't wait to see what everybody else received

There are so many wonderful things here Cheesy but I still love my item Cheesy

I had just one request, a pigmypuff, and I got it! Thanks Ruby Copperhead!

I love Severus Snape, so she made me a green, and gold, Pygmy Puff. It has two of the cutest legs Cheesy

And the big Pygmy puff had friends, one small key chain puff and one sleeping puff, didn't know they hide their faces when they sleep. And because I love Slytherin so much, even if I'm a Ravenclaw, she added a small garland in Slytherin colours Cheesy

She also added a Severus Snape poster and a few smaller pictures of him Cheesy and some candy I will share with my family. Love all my things.

I got my stuffie the day I left for a long read trip, the stuffie was so great that it cheered up the long and lonely trip.

So here he is, the wonderful and cute green monster. This is my first monster stuffie, and hopefully it won't be the last. Thanks FinRaziel, it's such a lovely monster, and a wonderful swap.

27  Re: Star Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by TheArtsyRaven on: March 07, 2011 01:33:05 PM
Finally, I managed to find some time to actually  sit down and post these pictures Cheesy

When I received the parcel I actually jumped, I was really happy.

The colour is really fresh Cheesy love them.

When we started I told her that I would love a needle book, and I got one Cheesy I was really amazed by it, it's so beautiful. The sewing across it is supposed to be the milky way, which I love.

I also told her that I like to stay organized (even if someone would not agree, but don't listen to them, I a organized, love shoe boxes Tongue ) So she gave e this amazing apron that can be rolled together Cheesy And she added a small star needle pillow and decorated the apron with the Sagittarius star sign, with BUTTONS! how did she know I love buttons?

28  Re: Fake Swapping Craft-along (ongoing) in Craftalongs by TheArtsyRaven on: February 18, 2011 04:57:23 PM
I received my item one day after I signed up :O my swapper is quick Tongue

I should have been more specific about the theme in from the start but I love it anyway, it's sort of a mix between classic and fun.

Love the angle and the buttons Cheesy

And here is the filling, a lot of beads, findings, some scrapbook embellishments, ribbon, seashell, a cameo and a pretty die-cut angel.

My swappers comment was: It was more difficult to find the finding than to decorate the box Tongue But I completed this fake swap in 3 hours, with no idea of how the finished product should look like.

29  Re: Bookmark Swap - Round 4 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by TheArtsyRaven on: February 18, 2011 02:47:10 PM
I received my parcel yesterday, I was shock at the speed since I can still remember receiving the PM about it being sent.

My heart jumped when I realized it must be the bookmarks, I was so excited.
And when I opened it my smile brightened.

The bookmarks are wonderful, first of all, I had no idea I would receive two!

The first one has lovely paper and a handwritten quote from Jane Austen - "but for my own part, if a book is well written, I always find it too short."
The second is so pretty, patterns and colours, love it Cheesy

Can't decide which one I like the most

And then she sent me this wonderful gift, her copy of Pride and Prejudice, my fav story so far that I haven't read yet, now at least I don't have to look for the English version.
I added some detail shots of the lovely bookmarks

30  Glittery animals in CHALLENGE 57 ENTRIES by TheArtsyRaven on: December 05, 2010 05:33:36 PM
I'm tired and sleepy, working on this project for four days (which is as long as I have known about this months contest) Just came back today and had to finish it before I'll go to bed, it's not fun not to have any time.

I hope you guys like it, it's the Christmas animals.

If you want to know how I made them keep on reading, if not scroll down to the pictures.
I blew up the silhouette, the elephant ended up on a A3 paper, the same with the giraffe and the long arm/tentacle to the octopus. Then I traced them over on cardboard paper, and cut them out. I then found some gift paper and tried to decoupage them on, which I can't seem to get right every time I try, need to read some tutorials maybe. As soon as they had dried I applied glitter on them; except for the octopus and giraffe I traced the images of the gift paper. Then I made a few bows and added them on the squirrel and giraffe. That is about it, I know the glitter doesn't show that well but they are shinning like the stars outside my window right now.

Elephant: It's 33 cm (13") wide and 28 cm (11") tall
The gift paper is my favourite, blue snowy town, but the elephant doesn't beat my favourite animal I made, the giraffe.

Giraffe: It's 48 cm (18.9") tall and 11 cm (4.3") wide
My favourite one, even without the bow, I love the angel paper but my favourite part was the spots on it.

Squirrel: It's 22 cm (8.7") wide and 18 cm (7.1") tall
Because the images were big and with a person it was difficult to add glitter, but I think I managed.

Octopus: It's 26 cm (10.2") tall and 44 cm (17.3") wide
I added the glitter today, it only had a few hours to dry before it had to go through a short photo session. The paper is only stripes so I had to add the circles, which I didn't quite like, but it's too late to change it now.

Koala: It's 19 cm (7.5") tall and 15 cm (5.9") wide
The cutest one I think, managed to get the wreath around its nose, and had no idea the bow was resting against his ear. I love glittering up the trees and wreaths, it was so much fun.

I hope you guys like it even if it's not perfect, I might have done something different if I had read the post before the first December.

All the animals will now be placed around in my sisters naked bedroom walls.
