I'm sad I missed the whole of Quidditch, hopefully next time I'll have more time to stick to plans and finish things. I've got a few completed projects which I hope to post later this week Smiley Great job to everyone who are here every day and continue to craft Cheesy

3  Honeydukes 1:144 miniature room in LIMBO by TheArtsyRaven on: September 19, 2018 03:09:38 PM
Moved from: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?board=42.0

I wanted my very own Honeydukes for a while, and decided to go for it this summer. While it took some time from start to finish it took less time than I first thought it would, which gives me hope that my next project won't take me forever to finish.

I'm adding a few of the wip pictures to show the progress of the room. While making the furniture took some time filling it took even longer, but I had a lot of fun.

I've got more info and pictures on how I created the room on my blog, is it advertisement if I link to a blog? I'm not sure but I'm too tired to figure it out right now. Link to the post

House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: My What to Craft Decision Wheel
Project Page Link (if available): link to craftster page
Brief Description: A wheel to help me decide what to do. I've used things I only have at home, which surprises me, but not tat much seeing as I've got a lot of craft supplies (and other things). For this project I've used a circle, lines and triangles (even though it's slightly bed at one side)

5  My What to Craft Decision Wheel in Completed Projects by TheArtsyRaven on: August 13, 2018 02:17:18 PM
After pondering about my struggle with deciding what to craft for weeks I knew I had to finally do something about the issue. I had several ideas but this one is what stick, and I'm pretty happy that it did.

Here you can see the decision wheel made out of things I have at home, and it works really well.

I've used a cardboard cake plate, scrapbook paper, contact paper, wooden board from who knows what (I think it was from some kind of shelf, not sure as I only had a few pieces), random screws and bolts I received from my in-laws, glad I could make them fit, and the centre of a fidget spinner, and some other random tiny things.

The hardest thing (or what took the most time) was cutting the pie shapes, and waiting for the paint on the board behind to dry.

The easiest thing to do was, to be honest the whole thing was easy, it took me a lot of hours to finish because I was listening to a book and doing other things besides crafting.

When I spin it I don't always do the thing it lands on, spinning it sometimes is what I need to do in order to understand what my heart really wants to craft or do, but other times I'll obey. I haven't had it for so many days so it hasn't been used as much, but my son and his friends likes to spin it. Most of the things are related to one kind of craft or one specific thing I'm working on, but there are some that are for cleaning etc.

Here you see the wheel in action.

I finally got around to post things, so here you go, a mini dump of crafts Cheesy

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Astronomy
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Tiny star taker in a dome
Project Page Link (if available): Blog post
Brief Description: This was created with a mixture of needle felting and glue (seeing as the tiny tiny parts were hard to stay on properly without the glue). Star Taker reminded me about this Grimm story called The Star Talers where a kind girl gives away everything she owns only to be rewarded by the stars at the end.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Detention in the Dungeon: June
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Mermaid in a bottle
Project Page Link (if available): Blog post
Brief Description: I crafted this only with my stash. Now, seeing as my stash is pretty big I didnt have any issue with this challenge. I decided to create this mermaid after I created the fairy for Herbology class. I mostly used clay, but also some glitter and tiny glass beads.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Divination
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Watermelon picnic table
Project Page Link (if available): Blog post
Brief Description: This is a useful project, not only does my picnic table look amazing but Ive found myself using it more than before, so double win. Of course now Im not that happy about letting my son do crafts outside any longer, but its the price I have to pay I guess.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Herbology
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Fairy in a bottle
Project Page Link (if available): Blog post
Brief Description: I was inspired by fairies for this project, but the idea of this project is an old one that I had for years. I finally decided to go for it and so created the fairy sleeping under the mushrooms. I really like this project, it gave me the inspiration for the second piece, the mermaid.

So many great projects and stories, living in a boat, amazing, and becoming an aunt! Lots of happy news. I also enjoy looking at all the different projects, now that I'm feeling like I'm not too behind on my studies I hope to be able to return a little more to the land of crafts.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Floo bermuda triangle
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Bee mandala
Brief Description: I've wanted to make some easy art lately but I don't have time to sit and draw so I decided to make a quick-ish mandala inspired by bees. I like this so much I think I'll use it in a paper cutting project in the future.

8  Gingerbread Bakery Dollhouse (Pic heavy) in CHALLENGE 122 ENTRIES by TheArtsyRaven on: January 08, 2018 03:05:41 AM
Most of December was stressful for me, and I hadn't planned to participate in this challenge, but ended up doing it as therapy, and it worked.

I present to you my Gingerbread Bakery Dollhouse, because I can't have a real dollhouse just yet.

How could I make a cute bakery and not add a cute scooter?

My son was the proud creator of the cake next to the cash register, it was his third attempt, the first two being way too big for this house.

In the bakery there is a round table with chairs, and a three tier cake stand with cookies, macarons and a Swedish princess cake.

By the window there are three shelves. On the top shelf there are small baguettes, croissants and some pastries with cream on top. On the second shelf there are three different kinds of doughnuts, vanilla, strawberry and chocolate. On the third shelf I made napoleon cakes on a stand, a white wedding cake and croquembouche.

The second floor is dedicated to the bedroom. The bed and rug were both hand painted with food colour, and the vanity has a lot of tiny details, a vase with roses, hair brush, mirror, vintage perfume and nail polishes.

9  Re: Kid Christmas Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by TheArtsyRaven on: December 11, 2017 03:26:48 PM
We received craftylittlemonkey's parcel today and we're all loving it.
My son was so happy about all the items, but his favourite is the pizza. Every piece is already hanging on the tree, and we're finally starting to have enough handmade stuff to stop using the store bought items.
