I'm Laura Smiley I live in south london. I'm american though & I've been over here for about 3 years now.

I've been lurking here forever but haven't posted anything yet. I'm into pretty much anything! I'm getting a sewing machine soon so I'll be doing sewing projects soon. Sooo excited! Smiley Nice to see there are other crafters out there! xxx

That is amazing! We have a small box room and this is a perfect way to use the space!  I'm not sure I am talented is enough though...

I went to Walthamstow a couple of weeks ago and I was very dissapointed. The stores weren't that great. There were a few 50p stores but the quality was poor. I don't know much about fabric but my aunt and mum do, and they insisted they tag along so I didn't make any impulse buys  Wink.

I bought some red cotton (1 per metre) and some dress fabric (1.50 per metre) at two stalls. I have to say that the choice and quality at these particular stalls was fab and I will be returning here just for them. Its not far from my mums so perfect if visiting her but I live in SE London so its not as if I can go at the drop of a hat.

Can't wait to start sewing!
