1  Turning men into stone one glance at a time ** Medusa ** in Halloween Costumes by dustbunnyofdoom on: November 01, 2009 08:31:59 PM
Grin Hello everyone, this year I decided to go as medusa, I don't have pictures of the whole procedure but I can tell you that the headpiece with the snakes is a wig that I bought and then I got a bunch of different sized and coloured snakes from the dollar store.
At first I decided to attach them with a wire in the shape of a wreath and after that I attached more and more with safety pins onto the wig directly plus a ton more hot glue and wire.

The dress is just an evening dress that was 10 dollars from "Winners", the cape is actually a belly dancing skirt that I secured with 2 greek style brooches. I also added a touch of gold ribbon to my mid section to create a more greek look.

As for my makeup I used gold leaf that is used for gilding that I glued on with liquid latex, I used it to make it look like a snake shedding skin. I also got green contacts to complete the look.

Thanks for looking!! Please vote for me!

This is the package I just received at work from Frogangel, it's SO awesome I cannot even stop smiling... my co-workers are thinking I finally snapped. HAHA!

The very neatly wrapped packages, there's two of those magic towels on top Smiley

This is for my pens or brushes and whatchamacallits that I use for my crafts, it has a lid and it is lined inside too.

A beautiful matching pouch

A cute octopus pin

Super cool dry erase board Smiley

Magnets! I love these!

A note pad for my fridge or work, dolphin and tuna friendly "Save the Ocean!"

Cute cute cute neck warmer and toque (looks like octopus suckers!) for the cold Canadian winters

Oh is it a wallet?

Is it a...?

It's a shopping tote! SOOOO Wicked!

And last but not least, a travel journal with a sexy mermaid on it!

I can't believe the amount of stuff I got, it's sooo awesome and plentiful, it's beyond great.
Thank you sooo much Frogangel (Irene) Cheesy I am so using everything right now... I am getting weird looks from everyone. HAHA too bad.
