21  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Mini gardens under Lucite on: May 25, 2010 10:54:25 PM
I love them all.  The hosta leaves on the first one remind me of a beetle's wings.
22  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: My first attempt at shrink plastic ... on: May 25, 2010 10:51:51 PM
I heart this so hard.  Nothing like a monster in a bunny suit!

...at least, I hope it's a suit...

This is beyond awesome.
24  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Hey, it's a week and a half before prom...I'll make my dress!! on: April 25, 2010 10:24:49 PM
Wow, great prom dress.  It looks like it fits very well - I would never have guessed about the circumstances under which it was constructed.  Tongue

Holy crap, you're talented.  You've just given me inspiration for days - I have tons of little fossil bits and shell shards from trips, but had never figured out how to mount them properly.

It is very good to know that corset making primarily requires straight lines.  Maybe I'll get around to making a linen one this summer after all.
27  CLOTHING / Sewing Pattern Reviews / Re: Butterick 5317 Maggy London Dress on: March 24, 2010 02:43:19 PM
Oh, I like it!  I have this pattern and have been thinking about pulling it out.  I'll have to get on that.  I love that dresses these days have POCKETS.

As for the bra straps, what about some strap holders made out of snaps and ribbon or single chain crochet in a matching color?

I really like this without the contrasting bias tape!  I've never been a fan of this pattern, but I could definitely see myself wearing your version.  Good job!
29  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: THIS APRON AND I DID BATTLE! on: February 22, 2010 03:19:27 PM
I love this idea.  It would be perfect to use up my small stash of 70s poly dresses that are too pretty to get rid of, but too polyester-y to wear.

I personally would love some more details on the pattern pieces.  The fabric is great, but it's the construction of the bodice that has me imagining about five similar ones in my wardrobe.
