35  CRAFTSTER CRAFT CHALLENGES / Craftster Craft Challenge Theme Ideas, Etc. / craft from only what you have at your work desk/cubicle/office supplies on: June 19, 2008 12:52:45 PM
since i have been known to pass time at work by making crafty things sitting at my desk, how about a challenge for that, using only what you have at your desk or in the supply closet (no fair if you like work for an art company or such), just using file folders, paper clips, rubberbands, and I would go so far as to say clip art printed from your computer or anything else that I normal office setting may have.

36  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / $5 garage sale light into my new bedroom chandelier on: May 28, 2008 11:31:40 AM
The Before:

The after:

It was really simple, I just took the whole thing apart (I left all the ceramic parts the white color they were) I spray painted all the brass with black spray paint, there were some small white plastic tubes that covered the wires for each uhh sconce (is that what those would be called) I covered those with some black and whtie toil paper (that matches the quilt on my bed)

40  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / My first machine applique! A tote bag for Madi! on: April 03, 2008 06:49:02 PM
Well this is my first attempt at machine applique, this is just a plain canvas tote bag, I appliqued the letters onto a piece of fabric (incase a messed up) and then appliqued that onto the bag,  I added some ribbon to the top.
I think it turned out pretty good for my first attempt (Madi is my step-baby who spends a couple nights a week with us, this is her overnight bag)

and a close up
