I vote for sleeves. That fabric is amazing and works really well with that top pattern. Do you think maybe they are yogis?
32  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / Where To Find Things To Recycle / Re: For regular mall-goers... on: January 17, 2008 04:24:27 PM
Lateralus, that reminds me of a friends mom who worked in the recycling part of the dump. Everyone there collected pepsi points, and at the dump they add up to big items like bicycles real fast!

I can't wait to see a finished pic! Looks great already.

It's Gorge-O.
I love the stripy ruffles.
35  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: Ripple along on: December 27, 2007 01:48:48 PM
Can I just say that I have been working on a ripple afghan off and on, mostly off, since October. It's for my boyfriends mom for Christmas but I'm still only a third of the way done!

This is Nuts! And a little creepy. I'm amazed at your skill!
37  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Loop d Loop Crochet anyone? on: December 21, 2007 03:31:01 PM
Looks like you're off to a good start on that skirt.
I made the clover fan jacket. Lets just say that a camo colorway acrylic yarn was not the right choice for that project. Also maybe it was because the acrylic I used was lighter than the cotton used in the book but the clover stitch is irratating in that some of the loops pull too tight while some of them catch and loop out. It was pretty disapointing to work on that pattern for a month and a half and get the outcome i did. If anyone is interested in seeing the disaster i could take some photos.

Yeah, I got the book from the library too. I love the library.
Jasmom, I like your shrug, the  sleeves look better than in the book. What size did you end up making?

Pretty! The third one should be called earth from space or the blue planet or  something like that. I like the wispy white cloud bits through it.
I am also quite fond of the warriors color way.

This is totally the best project in Postively Crochet! (I can't believe the uglieness of some of the items.)
I started the shrug a few weeks ago but it's been put on hold because I'm already stressing about finishing christmas presents. Why am I making such a huge afghan, why?
But I think I'll have a little time to work on it soon. I'm about halfway and am using Berroco's Ultra alpaca in a deep red color. What yarn are you using?
