I got my package from plaidpineapple today. It is fantastic!
First I got a hanging car storage bag. It is awesome, not sure my picture came out great but the bag is phenomenal. It's almost to pretty for my car Smiley

My next gift was a bed pocket for my daughter.
She was so excited. She is 6 yr old and when she saw it she said "How did she know I love pink and brown and my name starts with K" then she said "oh I know she must have brain stormed it" lol She loved it.

Thank you so much for the great stuff!

I received a wonderful package from AmandaBL. Thank you, thank you, thank you Smiley

So first off I could not get a good picture but these candle holders are so pretty. I really love them. I wish I could have gotten a better pic.

I got these awesome tags. (the teal and the ladybug ones are my favs)

I don't want to use them lol I just want to display them.

Last but certainly not least...My awesome "I just want to make pretty things and get enough sleep" picture. I can't decide where to hang it. I <3 it.

Thank you again. I love everything!

I received my awesome package from Dessadoll. It was great. She made a kit for my daughter. It could not have been better. My daughter loves to craft and is constantly wanting to make stuff. It was full of scraps of fabric (love the camo with paw prints btw) and ribbon, glue stick, scissors, etc. She absolutely loved it.

I also got this cute bookmark. I kind of want to make a bunch of these now. Cute Christmas gift idea....

And my favorite. A beauty and the beast hoop.

Thank you so much!

Dessadoll received her package. She is going to post pics but she did give me permission to post some I took. I was too excited so I am going to share a couple.
So I made my first stethoscope cover. I now need to make one for myself Smiley

I think I need to make one of everything for myself lol. I also made a dessadoll a casserole carrier.

And my favorite (my husband tried to get me to keep them) Reusable papertowels.

I hope she loved everything. I enjoyed making them. Enjoy!

6  Diaper motorcycle *updated with a tutorial* in Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies by kittyvettech on: August 26, 2012 04:27:18 PM
So 2 years ago I made a diaper cake for my bff baby shower.

Now she is having a little boy and had a mini shower to get some boy stuff. I didn't want to make another cake so.....
I was browsing Pinterest and saw a diaper tricycle. I was inspired.

My girlfriend and her husband are avid bike riders so I decided to make a diaper motorcycle.

This is the front of the bike. The handle bars are a fleece blanket and socks. The headlight is a bottle and the front says Stud Muffin (bib).

Here is a side view. I rolled the diapers and secured them with a rubberband to make tires. I tied a blue ribbon around them then cut off the rubberbands.
Thanks for looking Smiley

*I rolled a diaper up and secured it with a rubberband. Then I continued to wrap diapers around it until it was the size "tire" I wanted. I tied it with a ribbon to hold the tired shape. I made two "wheels" then I tied a piece of ribbon to each to hold them together.
For the handle bars I rolled up a recieving blanket and shoved (I do mean shoved lol) it through the front wheel. Then I set the baby bottle on top of the front tire. I pulled the blanket (handle bars) over the bottle and secured it with a rubberband (then a ribbon). I simply put the socks on each end to make the grips on the handle bars.
For the seat I just laid a couple bibs on the tires.
Hope this makes sense Smiley

7  Redone ugly chandelier in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by kittyvettech on: August 24, 2012 09:12:13 PM
So we are renting and can't change out the ugly chandelier...but I can remove the stupid plastic pieces. FYI when we moved in like 20 of the pieces were missing Sad

I had some cool old xrays (I work at a vet and they were being recycled anyway)
I cut them into strips, hole punched to top and hung them on my light fixture.
Now we have a fantastic new light!

*Yes that is my hand. There is also an xray of a rat, a cats abdomen and a broken leg in a cast Smiley

My hubby called me at work and said you got some package today and the wonderful USPS left it on the porch in the rain. But don't worry everything was fine and thankfully in a plastic bag. So here are our goodies.
So my daughter and I opened our box and this is what we saw

(pardon my cell phone pictures my camera was stolen this weekend in Frankenmuth)

An absolutely adorable summer dress

(I love that gatorwrangler made it longer so I can sew it to fit)

A very cute top

(Her daddy says this all the time, it is perfect)

A leopard bow

Love it!

And my favorite the black and red tutu with removable leopard bow

(The picture does not do it justice. It is so awesome!)
Thank you so much Gatorwrangler Kaylee and I love the package.  I hope you guys love yours too. It will be on it's way very soon. Thanks again and what a great first swap!

10  Felt playfood (pic heavy) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by kittyvettech on: February 13, 2010 08:48:54 PM
I made a bunch of felt food for my daughter today. I have been wanting to make some and finally did it. I'm hoping this will deter her from trying to cook real food in her room on her play stove. (nothing like ice tea and goldfish crackers in a toy pan for a couple days mmmm)
So here is some bologna and cheese (pardon the crappy pics)

Corn in the husk

and out of the husk

A tasty cheese quesadilla

She has been feeding us quesadillas all day

A pancake with butter (you can't see it from the flash but I embroidered a B on the pat of butter)
A little cake with a flower on it

This one shows the color a little better

Whole wheat spaghetti and meatballs

With sauce (the noodles are just strips of felt and then I ran it though the sewing machine a couple times so it didn't fall apart)

I think the banana is my favorite

Out of the peel

Fried egg

I am still working on the lettuce, bread, tomatoes and more meatballs. I have so many ideas. I want to make some onions, apples, oranges, etc. that are put together with velcro so my daughter can "cut" them into slices.  Something to work on I guess.  I think the playfood is as much fun for me as my daughter.
Thanks for looking
