1  Re: Mini Top Hat Gallery in The Swap Gallery by newydd on: August 31, 2013 08:42:16 AM
Here is the awesome hat I got from my angel SilentMinerva. I wore it today to a wedding! I love everything about it!

Sorry about the crappy cell phone photos that are also turned the wrong way. Don't know how to fix that :-(

This is what I sent to MissSadieMae. I decided to make her a hat box as well. I guess you can see what the theme was...  Wink

This is the full package (except the silvery bowl in the background):

And here's a close-up of the note:

The hat, with the ornated barber knife (sorry about it being flipped):

The hat, from the other side:

The hat box, i.e. meat pie:

3  Re: Jar of Stars Gallery - send outs extended to 12/13/2011 in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by newydd on: December 29, 2011 08:39:15 AM
I've got stars!!!!! When I came home from Christmas Holidays 2 packages of stars were waiting for me Cheesy They are lovely!!

These first ones are from najaorama:

I love the Japanese theme on a couple of them, as well as the card, and they all smell wonderful (lavender)!

I think the other package was from Ffrog526... (I was so eager to get inside the box I ripped the address-note from it and threw it away right there at the post-office Tongue) I haven't gotten any nice pics of those stars yet, and now it's too dark here. I'll try again tomorrow Smiley

The hoop is just gorgeous! And the mod podged (?) ones are great!

Great swap so far! Thank you so much both of you!

4  Valentine was here! in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by newydd on: February 26, 2011 02:28:34 AM
Even though my loved one doesnt believe in Valentines Day, I couldnt let it slip by unnoticed, so I made an envelope full of love to him (we live awfully far away from each other, and couldnt meet on the day in question). Apparently the love had a tendency to get all over the place, much to his frustration, but I guess thats the thing about love: you cant always keep it in check  Wink

6  Small gift boxes in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by newydd on: April 18, 2010 06:19:12 AM
I've had a really productive weekend crafting-wise, which feels great! Yesterday I made a template for small gift boxes. I was aiming for a pyramid box at first, but I think this turned out better.

This is what they look like flat (of course, this is two boxes on top of one another, but I hope you get the idea):

I would love to do a personal swap with these boxes if any of you are interested. PM me if that is the case Smiley

Here's the fantastic package I got from Ewushka  Cheesy

First off there's this absolutely wonderful "Mini-Me" (as in "Coraline"):

As you can see she has this cute hair clip:

And I got another one, just like it, for myself!!

I also got these great Jack Skellington earrings and crocheted Jack:

From now on I will always be able to "keep my eyes on my keys"  Wink :

And finally, a creepy-cute keeper of my mobile phone:

Once again, THANK YOU ewushka! It was great swapping with you! And thank you SpookyPooky for organizing this swap. I hope you'll do it again soon Cheesy

Here are all the wonderful things I got from Melladh. First of all the presents in all their red and white glory:

And for M... *drumroll please*...

Monsters and Midwinter Mittens (modelled by my DS) Cheesy
These are so great!!!! I have already worn them to work (preschool) and used them to scare/amuse the kids ^^ Inspired of course by loveandasandwich's monsters.

for A...

Angel or Allegedly so, necklace.
It fits perfectly around my neck, and I adore the angel with the skull!

for R...

Random since I Ran out of time.
Fascinating new (for me that is) craft stuff. I'm guessing I will need a trip to Great Britain soon to pick out some more colours Wink

for I...

the Ivory peeper you spy with (i.e the EYE).
Am I to understand that you have painted the eyes yourself, Melladh? I'm totally in awe of your talent!!!

for the last A...

Agaric and the end of it all.
Super cute stickers Smiley I'm sure I can use these, Melladh!

and I even got some extras...

Poker chips.
I love the feel of these, their weight. Any suggestions as to what I could make of them? (Except necklaces Wink)

Wow!! This was such a great package all together. Thank you so much Melladh!!! And it didn't diminish my swap anxiety one bit. Tongue Luckily I had posted Melladh's package before I picked up mine. But then that was all planned by me, just in case. Wink

Finally I came home to daylight!!! Wink

Here are the great things I got from gavagai:

Love the bag with "Hello Kitty" appliques on it, and the shirt with "Nightmare before Christmas"-print. The yarn is in my favorit colours and I the Halloweeny fabric in the small bag is wonderful!

But look, there's more:

Lovely, lovely Japanese stamps (more "Hello Kitty"!!) and stationery as well as several sparkly "Hello Kitty"-stickers! Magic for my paper crafts!

Thank you, thank you gavagai! You've been a great partner!
